Troubleshooting

Problem
Possible cause
The lamp does not work
The on/off switch is in
after it has been charged
the "OFF" position.
for a long period.
The intensity of the
sunlight is insufficient.
The product has been
placed in a location
with insufficient
sunlight.
The solar panel is very
dirty.
Is the twilight sensor
working?

Maintenance and cleaning

Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions, as these could damage the housing or even impair the functioning of the
product.
• The product does not require maintenance apart from changing the rechargeable batteries and
cleaning the drainage holes.
• Never point a garden hose or a pressure washer at the product (e.g. for cleaning)!
• Turn off the product before cleaning and let it cool down sufficiently.
• You can use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the product. Dust can be easily removed using
a clean and soft brush.
• Do not press too hard on the housing as this can lead to scratch marks.
• If necessary, remove any dust from the solar panel, as the presence of dust reduces the
charging current.
• Be careful not to scratch the solar cells on the solar panel.
a) Drainage holes
• The lamp features drainage holes to drain
any water that comes into contact with
the lamp (e.g. rainwater). The diagram
on the right indicates the position of the
drainage holes.
If water accumulates in the lamp head,
this indicates that the drainage holes are
blocked and must be cleaned.
• Point a weak to moderate air jet at the
drainage holes to remove the blockage.
Warning! Wear protective goggles when
removing the blockage!
• Clean the drainage holes regularly to
prevent water from accumulating in the lamp head.
Suggested solution
Turn the light on (move the on/off
switch to the "ON" or "RGB" position).
Consider the recent weather
conditions. Was there sufficient
sunlight? Wait for better weather
conditions and charge the lamp again.
Check where the lamp is mounted.
Place the product in a better lit location
without shade.
Keep the solar panel clean and dry.
If the surface of the solar cell is dirty,
this reduces the amount of electricity
it produces.
Check if the twilight switch is working
by placing the lamp in a dark location
(ensure that the batteries are charged).
Installing the product near a bright
source of light (e.g. a street lamp) may
prevent it from turning on.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used rechargeable
batteries; they must not be disposed of in household waste!
Rechargeable batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with this
symbol to indicate that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The designations for
the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on
rechargeable batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality,
our stores or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
