11 Indicators & displays
A – Operating indicator
The power switch POWER 1 lights up in blue when the Power
Max L is switched on. When the standby function is activated,
this display blinks before switching off to give you a warning
and after ca. 14 minutes without current drain.
B – Error indicator
The LED ERROR 4 lights up:
C – Output indicator
The display LEVEL 6 shows the actual demand on the battery
when the Power Max L is in use. Depending on the appliances
connected, it can be continuously in the green or – during gre-
ater demand – also in the yellow range. The red range should
only light up momentarily, e.g. during recharging of the con-
nected flash units. If the system is continuously in the red range,
the units connected overload the Power Max L and must be
deactivated.
As a protective function, the Power Max L deactivates the con-
nections at times of extreme overload (indicator permanently in
the red range) and the sockets are not functioning at this time.
Remove or deactivate the connected unit(s), until the output
indicator is within the yellow or green range – now the Power
Max L activates the sockets again.

 For 5 seconds at switch on if the used battery is empty.
Then the Power Max L turns off. Please exchange or charge
the battery.
 When overheating during operation. In this case, turn off
the Power Max L and let it cool down.
 During operation the indicator ERROR 4 blinks and the con-
nected Power Max L switches itself off. In this case, there
is a defect in the units connected or in the Power Max L.
Disconnect the units from the Power Max L and switch it on
again: if it functions flawlessly, the units connected befo-
re have a technical malfunction. If the error display blinks
anew, the Power Max L has a malfunction. Please contact
customer service.
