5.3 Overvoltage
protection
antenna
and
RJ45
network
The Avinity power strip is equipped with
additional protection against overvoltage
that could travel through the antenna or
network cables and damage or break the
connected
devices.
Connect the corresponding cables with the
sockets on your Avinity power strip:
• Connect the antenna cable to your TV wall
socket and to the antenna connection input
(9) on the power strip.
• Connect
the
antenna
connection output (10) of the power strip
and the antenna input of your TV.
• Plug a network cable into a LAN connection
socket or the LAN output of your router and
the network cable input (II) of the power
strip.
• Plug a network cable into the network
cable output (12) of the power strip and the
network connection of your LAN-compatibIe
device (PC, laptop, smart TV, etc.).
Note: The TV overvoltage protection from the
power strip also works for SAT; however 2
adapters from coax to F-socket are required
for connection.
(Not included)
5.4 Always ON socket
The Always ON socket can not be switched
off in any mode and is designed for devices
that should be permanently switched on
such as SAT receivers,
modems,
WLAN routers, fax machines,
5.5 Overload
Protection
If an overload
occurs (the sum of all of
the connected devices is higher than the
permitted 2300 watts), the overload fuse
protects the electronic components of the
power strip and the connected devices. If
the overload fuse is tripped, unplug all of the
connected
devices, make sure that the total
power consumption of all connected devices
will not exceed 2300 watts and then press
the RESETbutton (5). Then you can plug the
devices
back
in.
