Connection to the compressed air system (see above)
Ensure that the pressure supplied by the compressed air system does not exceed the maximum allowable
pressure of the fastener driving tool. Set the air pressure initially to the lower value of the recommended
allowable pressure (see SPECIFICATIONS).
Preparing a tool for first time operation
Please read and observe these Operating Instructions before using the tool. Safety measures should
always be strictly followed to protect against damage to the equipment, personal injury to the user, or
people working in the area.
Lubricate the tool before use. 2 drops of air tool (PCL part no ISO 221L) oil applied directly into the
compressed air inlet (8) will increase tool life.
Affix a whip hose to the compressed air inlet (8). This will minimise any 'whip' from the hose, should it
become disconnected. PCL offer a wide range of whip hoses, please speak to the customer service team if
you have any enquiries.
Use the 4mm Allen key (9) to loosen the blade retaining screws (7).
Slide your blade into the slit in the front end of the blade retainer. The wider end should go in first as
pictured (5). There are 2 blades provided. One blade will be already fixed in position when you open the
box.
Push the blade carefully until it can't be pushed any further.
Tighten the blade retaining screws (7). Ensure they are fully tightened.
Carefully pull the blade to ensure it does not come away from the blade retainer.
Only use blades which are specifically designed for use with the air body saw
Adjust the work guide (2) to the required length by unscrewing the work guide screw (3). Tighten when
you reach the desired length. The work guide controls the depth you are cutting into the material.
Affix a whip hose to the compressed air inlet (8) This will minimise any 'whip' from the hose, should it
become disconnected. PCL offer a wide range of whip hoses, please speak to the customer service team if
you have any enquiries.
Affix the whip hose to the compressed air inlet.
Ensure the blade (5) is pointed away from yourself.
To start the saw operation. Push the safety lever (1) with your thumb. Continue pushing forwards with
your thumb, depressing the trigger (1).
DO NOT force the blade directly into material. Instead, a slow deliberate movement into the material will
stop the saw blade breaking. Try to start the sawing action at the edge of the material rather than
starting in the centre.
Take regular breaks when using the saw. This will limit any vibration to your hands and wrists.
WARNING! Disconnect saw from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing
maintenance. Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be
dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
