·Press and hold for 1 second to switch between different regional channels. There
are channels in three different regions, International (showing INT), Canada (showing
CNA) and USA (showing USA).
·Long press the SCAN key in the weather channel for dual-band watch with
Channel 16.
16. H/L Power Switch & Lock Key
·Short press to switch between high, medium and low power. The screen will show
HI (High Power), MI (Medium Power) or LO (Low Power). Some channels cannot be
switched, please see the frequency chart for details.
·Press and hold for 2 seconds to lock the keyboard. At this time, you can only use
the PTT button to transmit; Long press this button again to unlock.
17. SCAN & Dual Watch Key
·Short press to scan. During scanning, only favorite channels and the current
weather channel will be scanned; Short press SCAN key again to exit the scan
mode.
·Press and hold the SCAN key for 2 seconds, DUAL flashes on the screen. At this
time, dual watch the current call channel and the emergency Channel 16; Short press
SCAN key to exit.
Dual-Band Watch
·When on dual-band watch, Channel A will flash when the signal on Channel A is
received, and when Channel A 16 signal is received, Channel 16 will flash at the
bottom of the screen to indicate whether the received signal is coming from Channel
A or Channel 16.
·The dual-band watch transmits on the last received channel as the main transmit
frequency. For example, if the Channel A is the last to receive a signal, then pressing
PTT will transmit on the Channel A's frequency, and the screen will display Channel
A. At this time, the signal can only received on Channel A, and Channle 16 can not
receive the signal. Only when the call on Channel A stops for 5 seconds, the radio
can enter the dual-band watch mode again.
·If the Channel 16 is the last to receive a signal, then pressing PTT will transmit on
the Channel 16's frequency, and the screen will display Channel 16. At this time, the
signal can only received on Channel 16, and Channle A can not receive the signal.
Only when the call on Channel 16 stops for 5 seconds, the radio can enter the
dual-band watch mode again.
