INSTRUCTION
l. Your Cometron FirstScope 76 includes the
preassembled base and optical tube, the
finderscope assembly, two eyepieces and
TheSkyX DVD-ROM astronomy software.
4. Insertthe chromebarrel of the eyepieceinto
the focuser and secure with set screws.
7. Use the finderscope to roughly point your
telescope at your target.

2. To install finderscope, remove nuts on side
of tube, place bracket over threaded posts
and replace the nuts.
5. Removemaintelescope lens cap and caps
on the finderscope.
8. When you have your target in the field of
view of the telescope eyepiece, tighten the
altitude lock nut

3. Loosen the thumbscrews on the focuser
and remove focuser cap.
6. Loosenthe altitude lock nut by turningit
clockwise and hold the bottom
with your other hand.
9. Focus your telescope by turning the two
knobs under the eyepiece until you have a
sharp image.
