Thank you for choosing the "VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat"!
The mat will keep your pets away from areas which you would like to protect.
Details:
• Indoor training device for cats and dogs
• three setting options
• easily movable, for training in different rooms
• low battery indicator
Prevents your pet from:
• entering a room
• jumping onto furniture
• jumping onto cars
Operation:
"VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat" offers three different training options for teaching your pet desired behaviour.
You set the mode by briefly pressing the MODE button.
1. SOUND + STATIC STIMULATION: the green LEDs for SOUND and STATIC STIMULATION flash in regular intervals.
2. Only STATIC STIMULATION: the green LED for STATIC STIMULATION flashes in regular intervals.
3. Only SOUND: the green LED for SOUND flashes in regular intervals.
The device is programmed to save and continue the setting that has been activated last.
This also applies to activation after battery replacement.
Please Note:
• The energy (static stimulation) of the "VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat" is very low but quite noticeable.
This is also true for people. The device is not a toy. People should generally avoid touching the electric mat.
• Not suitable for use by children.
• This mat is intended to be used for dogs and cats only. Do not use it for any other purpose than described
in this manual.
• Suitable for use indoors only.
Components of the mat:
The MODE button is used to switch the mat On/Off and to select the different training options.
The LEDs for SOUND/STATIC STIMULATION/BATTERY indicate which setting is activated.
The built-in LOUDSPEAKER generates audible beeps.
The BATTERY COMPARTMENT holds a 9-volt battery.
The MAT, when placed, covers the area which is to be protected.
The wires on the mat deliver the static stimulation when touched.
Step 1
Preparing the "VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat"
Place the mat flat on a surface. Push the battery cover of the control unit back to open the battery compartment.
Place the battery inside and push the cover back on.
The „VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat" is for use ONLY with AC Adapter or ONLY with battery.
Remove Battery before operating with AC adaptor!
The "VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat" is now ready for use.
Step 2
The different setting options:
In setting SOUND + STATIC STIMULATION, the green LEDs for SOUND and STATIC STIMULATION flash in regular inter-
vals, is first the sound triggered and the static stimulation shortly after.
This happens if your pet steps on the mat and touches two of the thin wires at the same time. The stimulation pulse is
harmless but unpleasant. Most pets quickly learn to avoid this area.
The animal learns that the sound is followed by the static stimulation. After your pet has touched the mat a few times, you
have the option to select the setting STATIC STIMULATION (without sound).

In setting STATIC STIMULATION (without sound), the green LED for STATIC STIMULATION flashes in regular intervals,
the correction pulse is triggered as soon as the pet steps on the "VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat", no sound is generated.
In the third setting SOUND (without static stimulation), the green LED for SOUND flashes in regular intervals, only the
sound is activated when the pet touches the mat. This setting can be used, if the setting SOUND + STATIC STIMULATION
had been used for a few days. Typically, the animals will react and as soon as the signal sounds and avoid the mat.
Place the mat in areas that you would like to keep pet-free (entrances, tables, chairs, couches, wardrobes, cars in garages
– not outdoors -, etc.). Select the setting SOUND + STATIC STIMULATION.
After the animal has stepped on the mat and experienced the correction pulses a few times, it is often enough to use the
mat in the SOUND setting (without static stimulation).
Step 3
On/Off switch
Please press the MODE button in order to switch on the mat.
You can hear the sound and the green LED flashes 5 times. Nothing should touch the mat during this short time.
In order to switch the mat off, press the MODE button for approx. 3 seconds.
The red LED flashes 5 times. The shock mat is then switched off.
The LED functions and their meaning:

Training guide:
The shock mat works on the principle of positive and negative reinforcement. Your pet will learn to avoid the mat after
hearing the sound signal. Sound + static stimulation or static stimulation (without sound)(negative reinforcement) Your pet
will learn that it feels more comfortable when touching the "VOSS.miniPet Shock Mat" is avoided (positive reinforcement).
In some cases it is not necessary to train the pet. The pet will recognize the new boundaries by itself. Observe your pet's
behaviour. Pets generally learn quickly. But it is possible that the learning process takes a little longer. Don't give up if the
training is not successful within the first few days. It may take 2-4 days until your pet has learned to avoid the mat.
Begin the first lesson with your pet:
1. Move your pet off the shock mat.
2. Choose the setting SOUND + STATIC STIMULATION.
3. Let your pet move freely around the mat.
Another exercise for you and your pet:
If your pet seems confused, insecure or unsure of how it should behave, please follow these simple steps:
1. Put your dog on a leash (for cats we recommend a harness)
2. Let your pet walk onto the mat. As soon as you hear a sound signal or see that a static pulse was activated,
pull your pet from the mat into the "safe zone".
3. Praise your pet every time when it leaves the mat.
4. Practice this technique a few times until you can see that your pet has understood.
IMPORTANT: Never force your pet onto the mat.
