Nuance Audio™ Remote Control
Nuance Audio™ Remote Control is referred to within this Instructions For Use as the "Product". The
Remote Control is an optional accessory that is intended to assist the Nuance Audio™ hearing aid
functionality in terms of controlling limited settings of the hearing aid. The Remote Control is intended
to be used only in conjunction with the Nuance Audio™ Glasses, to wirelessly control the hearing aid
volume and modes. The Remote Control works via Bluetooth-paired with the Glasses, and it includes
one coin cell battery. The coin cell battery (CR2450) is customer replaceable. The Nuance Audio™
Hearing Aid is a SaMD OTC air conduction hearing aid feature software-only medical device. The
Remote Control is to be used as an accessory to the Nuance Audio™ Glasses. Please refer to the User
Guide for images and usage explanation of the Remote Control.
Restrictions to combinations The Remote Control works only with Nuance Audio™ Glasses, meaning
that the Product isn't compatible with other devices.
Read instructions. Read and follow all instructions included with the Remote Control before using it.
Cautions.
1. When adjusting the volume, turn it up gradually until you reach a comfortable listening level.
2. Do not use the Remote Control if any part of it is damaged or overheating. If this happens, stop

Intended uses & users
Intended use. The Remote Control accessory is intended to assist the air conduction hearing aid
functionality in terms of controlling settings on the hearing aid. The Remote Control is used to wirelessly
control the Nuance Audio™ Glasses' volume and modes. The two possible hearing aid modes are:
Frontal: Frontal mode enhances sound coming from the front, making it easier to focus on

conversations with someone directly in front.
• All-around: All-around mode ampli es sounds and speech from all directions.
Generally the Remote Control works BT-paired with the Glasses, and it includes a coin cell battery.
The Remote Control is intended to be used only in conjunction with the Nuance Audio™ Glasses and
is intended only for use by individuals 18 years old and older.
For ages 18 and up. The Remote Control is intended to be used only in conjunction with the Nuance
Audio™ Hearing Aid and is intended only for use by individuals 18 years old and older. Do not allow
anyone under 18 to use the Remote Control. Children can choke or su ocate in case of swallowing of
this Product. Keep this Product away from children.
Interference with personal medical devices. This Product contains components that emit radio
waves, which could a ect the operation of medical devices such as but not limited to pacemakers or
other implantable devices, or insulin pumps, consult your doctor or the medical device manufacturer
before using the Product. Turn o the electronic functionalities of the Product if you notice any
interference with your medical device.
Interference. Check before using the Remote Control in areas where electronics or wireless devices
are restricted. This may cause interference.
Interactions & environments. Pay attention. Interacting with the Remote Control may distract you or
increase the time it takes to react to hazards. Always pay attention to your surroundings, including
signage and obstacles.
Driving. Do not use the Remote Control while driving.
Limitations of Use. Do not use the Remote Control in environments with strong electric or magnetic
elds. The e ective usage distance of the Remote Control is less than 25 meters. The Remote Control
expected lifetime is 5 years from manufacturing date.
