• Observe local regulations and environmental protection requirements regarding outdoor
incineration and avoid incinerating waste that could be harmful to health.
• Caution! Keep children and animals away!
• To avoid tipping over and causing injury or fire, make sure that the surface on which you
place the product is stable and fireproof.
• The product may only be used if no defects are found during the inspection. As soon as a
part is defective, it must be replaced before the next use.
• Always work with caution and only when in good physical condition: tiredness, illness,
alcohol consumption, medication and drug influence can lead to property damage or
injuries, as you can no longer use the product safely.
• To avoid injury or damage, do not modify the product!
• Do not move the product while in use. Do not move it after lighting the fire.
• Keep a fire extinguisher, sand or water ready to hand so that you can intervene in an
emergency.
• Keep your distance from the fire pit during the burning process.
• Do not cover the product with combustible material during use.
• Accessible parts may be very hot. To protect against burns, wear heat-resistant gloves
and, when cooking food, a bib apron if necessary to protect you from hot splashes.
• Never leave a burning fireplace unattended and make sure that the fire is completely
extinguished before you leave the fireplace or go to bed.
• After firing, your Petromax product should cool down completely before you touch or clean it.
• Protect from moisture.
• Wear fireproof clothing when using.
4. Using for the first time
Before using the Petromax fire stand for the first time, remove all parts from the packaging.
Then set up the chimney starter with the fire stand on a straight, stable and fireproof surface
outdoors. Find a suitable location for your products where they do not need to be moved.
Make sure that they cannot rock or tip over.
Caution! Fire hazard!
Do not set up near combustible objects. Keep a sufficient distance from
buildings, people, animals, plants and objects. No combustible materials
should be in the protected area.
