2. Proper and improper use

The Petromax fire stand is used on chimney starters as a support surface for suitable cook-
ware. The product is ideal for use when camping to heat food with minimal equipment. It is

designed for outdoor and private use. It must not be used indoors.
Suitable for chimney starters with a diameter of 14.5 - 16.5 cm or chimney starters with a

diameter of 19 - 25 cm. Only use smaller stainless steel and enamelled cookware with a
maximum base diameter of 25 cm. Not suitable for cast or wrought iron pots and larger

pots such as percolators!
The product should be used on a stable, fireproof surface. Keep a safe distance from com-

bustible materials and use appropriate barbecue tools and fire-resistant protective clothing.

3. For your safety

• Do not use the product in closed and/or habitable spaces, e.g. buildings, tents, caravans,
motorhomes, boats. There is a risk of death from carbon monoxide poisoning!
• Select a well-ventilated outdoor area away from combustible materials and structures.
Avoid excessively windy areas to prevent the fire from getting out of control.
