HOW TO START YOUR CLOCK
To start your clock, remove the plastic guard from under the crown.
Then push the crown in as far as it will go against the case and release.
HOW TO SET THE TIME
1. Pull the crown to the OUT position.
2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to the desired time.
3. Push the crown back in to restart the watch.
CHANGING THE BATTERY
This OXFORD clock is a high quality timepiece and has been fitted with
a Japanese made movement that uses a high quality battery*. This
battery can last up to 4 years from the moment the clock is started. To
ensure that the waterproofing qualities are maintained and that damage
is not caused to sensitive components, we recommend that the battery
is only changed by a watch repair shop.
HOW TO FIT THE BRACKET
A stainless steel bracket, a screw and hexagon (Allen) key are supplied
with this clock. Put the screw into the small hole of the bracket and
screw to the back of the clock. Do not over tighten.
Once the position is correct we would recommend the use of some
thread-locking fluid (glue) to prevent the screw coming loose as a result
of vibration etc. The use of superglue is OK but depending on the grade
used it might be difficult to loosen later. Find a suitable place on the
motorcycle to fit this bracket (usually on one of the clutch clamp bolts).
The hole on the bracket allows a 6mm bolt to be used.
If it is preferred, the clock can be fitted to a flat surface or panel using
the adhesive foam pad and Velcro pads. Ensure the surface is cleaned
with an alcohol based cleaner to ensure the pad will have a wax-free
surface to attach to. When using this system, check occasionally to
ensure the adhesive is still giving a perfect bond on all the surfaces.
