– Remove the batteries from the device
if you do not intend to use it for a long
period of time.
– Replace all of the old batteries in a de-
vice with new batteries of the same
type.
– Cover the contacts of the batteries with
sticky tape if you want to store or dispose
of them.
– If necessary, clean the battery and de-
vice contacts before insertion.
– If the batteries have leaked, wear pro-
tective gloves and clean the contacts
thoroughly.
