tLe ECM-MSS est un microphone condensateur a électrets
Intégrant des capsules médianafatérale. Dans ce microphone, une
capsule unidirectionnelie et une autre bidirectlonnelle (utilisant
deux capsules unidirectlonnelles) sont montées orthogonalement
prés l'une de l'autre dans un méme plan. La capsule
unldirectionnalle (pour te microphone médian) capte les sons
Provenant de I'avant, et la capsule bidirectlonnelle (pour le
microphone latéral) capte les sons de ta gauche et de la droite. Les
sons captés sont ensuite dlectriquement séparés en canal gauche
et drolt par un clrcult matriclel. La ECM-MS5 réallse ainsi une
meilteure reproduction stéréo.

Mid and side capsules
'
The ECM-MSS Is an electret condenser microphone which
Incorporates mid and side capsutes. In this microphone, a uni-
directional capsule and a bi-directional capsule (using 2 uni-
directional capsules) ara mounted orthogonally and close together
in a same plane. The uni-directional capsule (for the mid-
microphone) picks up sound from the front and the bidirectional
capsule (for the side-microphone) picks up sound from the faft and
fight. The picked-up sounds are then split Into a left channel and a
right channel electrically through a matrix circult. As a result, the
ECM.MS5 realizes a better stereo reproduction,

Das Elektret-Kondensatormikrofon ECM-MS5 weist eine MS-
Anordnung mit Mitten-Seiten-Kapsein auf. Im gleichen Gehause ist
ein Mitten-Mikrofon (bestehend aus einer Kapsel mit Richtwirkung
nach vorne) und ein Selten-Mikrofon (bestehend aus zwei Kapsein,
die zusammen eine Achter-Charakteristik bewlrken und den von.
links und rechts kommenden Schall auinehmen)} untergebracht.
Mit einer MS-Schaltung (Matrix zur Summen: und Differenzbildung)
kann dann der rechte und linke Stereokanal gewonnen werden.
Dieser Mikrofontyp weist lrotz seiner Miniaturisierung eine
exzellente Stereoqualitat auf.

This microphone can be used with a video camera recorder or a
Portable Betacam camera, for ENG/EFP.
Selectable angle of stereo image
The directive angle between lett and right channels (directive
characteristics) can be selected trom 6 positions, 0° and 5 positions
divided equally from 90° to 127° according to the sound source
directions,
