Silent function:
When the unit is in silent mode, the red LED flashes every 8 seconds.
Note: When the HA59 is in silence function, press the test key to pause the function for about 8-10 hours. The HA59 can
then still detect normal air temperature during this period, it will just not sound the warning tone will not sound.
Alarm silence mode:
If you press the test button during alarming, the unit's alarm is interrupted for about 10 minutes. The red LED will flash
every 8 seconds. This indicates that the heat alarm is in silence mode. The heat alarm automatically resets after about 10
minutes. If the air temperature is still in the heat sensitivity range after this period, the alarm will sound again. The alarm
silence mode can be set repeatedly. Note: Before using the alarm silence function, a safe condition must exist.
ATTENTION:
•
If there is any doubt over the cause of an alarm, then assume the alarm is caused by a fire and evacuate the
premises as soon as possible.
•
Keep the heat detector away from small children.
•
During renovations, protect the heat detector against dust. It will lose it's functionality if covered by dust.
Maintenance:
The HA59 can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
PLAN AN ESCAPE ROUTE:
•
Make a map and mark all locations of doors and windows and a possible escape route. Note that you may need an
escape ladder on high floors.
•
Ensure everyone in the house knows the sound the smoke alarms produce and regularly practice use of the escape
route.
•
Leave the house immediately according to the plan when hearing the alarm. Every second counts: so respond
quickly. If you do not notice smoke or heat, check if everyone in the house is in a secure location.
•
Do not open any doors without feeling whether the door is warm or if there is smoke coming from underneath the
doors. If it is, do not open that door.
•
If the door is cold, put your shoulder firmly against the door and open it a small amount to check for any heat or
smoke first.
•
If there is much smoke, keep low and take shallow breaths, preferably through a moist towel.
•
Call the fire department as soon as you are safe outside (112)
REPLACING THE HEAT DETECTOR:
The detector is powered by a built-in DC3V CR14250 lithium battery.
Note: The battery is built-in and not replaceable. Under normal conditions, the battery and sensor will last 10 years. The
heat detector will produce a "chirp" sound every 30 seconds when the battery is low or the sensor fails. The HA59 is then
due for replacement.
ENVIRONMENT:
At the end of the product's life cycle, do not dispose of this product with normal household waste, but take it to a
collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
