Warning - Batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the
correct polarity (+ and - markings) and
insert the batteries accordingly. Failure
to do so could result in the batteries
leaking or exploding.
• Only use batteries that match the
speci ed type. Keep the instructions
for the correct choice of batteries
included with the operating instructions
of devices safe for future reference.
Before you insert the batteries, clean
the battery contacts and the polarity
contacts.
• Do not allow children to change batteries
without supervision.
• Replace all the batteries in a set at the
same time.
• Do not mix old and new batteries,
or batteries of different types or from
different manufacturers.
• Remove the batteries from products
that are not being used for an extended
period (unless these are being kept
ready for an emergency).
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not burn batteries or heat them up.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries
or allow them to enter the environment.
They can contain toxic, environmentally
harmful heavy metals.
• Remove spent batteries from the product
and dispose of them without delay.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in
extreme temperatures and at extremely
low atmospheric pressures (such as at
high altitudes).

4. Setup
• Open the battery compartment (F) on the
back and insert 2 AAA batteries, observing
the correct polarity. Then close the battery
compartment. A short start-up tune is
heard. The alarm clock is now ready for
operation.
5. Operation
5.1 Manual setting of the date / time
• Brie y press the MODE button (A) to
switch to Settings mode. "12 Hr" starts
to ash on the display. Set the following
information in sequence: 12h/24h, hours,
minutes, year, month, day.
• To select the individual values, press the
UP button (D) or DOWN button (E) and
con rm the selection by pressing the SET
button (B)
• The settings are ended automatically if no
entry is made for more than 60 seconds.
5.2 Alarm clock
Setting the alarm time
• Press the MODE button (A) 2x to switch
to alarm mode. This is indicated by "-:--"
and an alarm clock symbol on the display.
Press the SET button (B) until the alarm
time "0:00" starts to ash.
• Press the UP or DOWN button to set the
desired hour and con rm the selection by
pressing the SET button (B). Repeat the
procedure for the minutes.
