6. Removing the P.W.B.

(1) PY P.W.B. (Fig. 11)
After removing the front panel, remove six screws
(2) PX P.W.B. (Fig. 2, 4)
Remove four screws @ then two screws (), and
disconnect three connectors ®, three connectors
®, two connectors © and connector ©.
(3) PS P.W.B. (Fig. 4)
Disconnect the power switch connector and remove
two screws @).
7. Removing the Pickup Mechanism (Fig.13)
After having removed the unit mechanism, turn the unit
plate OS hooks (2 places) with a screwdriver as shown
in illustration 13, and remove them.
(1) When
replacing the DC
motor,
replace it after
having
removed
the pickup
mechanism
and
the
send gear.
Note: Be careful
not to cause
scratches
or
contamination on the worm gear and the
send gear, as distorted sound may result.
(2) When
reassembling the pick-up mechamism,
do
not tighten the hooks with more force than neces-
sary, as it may result in damage to the unit plate
OS.
8.
Checking the laser
The laser unit operates on 40 — 80 mA current. If the
laser operation current in the circuit exceeds 120 mA,
the laser may be defective. The current can be mea-
sured at the ends of ROO2 (1.08 — 2.16 V at the ends
of 272).

1. Entfernen der Abdeckung (Abb. 1)
Die vier Schrauben
@ entfernen und die Abdeckung nach
hinten ziehen (in Pfeilrichtung).
2. Entfernen der Frontplatte (Abb. 2)
Nach Entfernen der Abdeckung und vier Schraube
@
die zwei kiauen am Teil A und die drei Steckverbindungen
@® entfernen
und
die Fronttafel
nach vorne
(in Pfeil-
rich tung) herausziehen.
3. Entfernen der Tiir (Abb. 3)
Nach entfernen der Frontplatte die zwei Schraube
@
entfernen,
die den
Plattenhalter
halten.
Beim
Zusam-
mebau die Feder fest einsetzen, siehe Abb. 3.
4. Entfernen des lademechanismus (Abb. 4)
Nach Abnehmen
der Frontplatte die vier Schrauben @
entfernen, die drei Stecker
® und die zwei Stecker ©
l6sen und den Lademechanismus
hochziehen.
Caution:
When
measuring
the
voltage
at the
ends
of
ROO2, there is the risk that a surge current will be
produced by the voltage meter and damage the
laser.
Always
measure
via resistance
of 100
KOhms on the end of the voltage meter as shown
When
using a battery-operated
tester, it is pos-
sible to measure directly.
9. Precautions on repair service
(1) Semiconductor laser (Fig. 14)
The semiconductor laser requires more attention to
electrostatic breakdown
or surge current.
Be very
careful not to touch the terminals of the semicon-
ductor laser and those of the P.W.B.
by hand or
with a tool.
The current — light intensity characteristic became
sharp abruptly after passing the threshold value as-
shown in Fig. 13 The threshold current value is a little
different in each laser unit. Therefore, when setting
the laser beam amount after replacing the unit me-
chanism, be sure to turn the control variable resistor
ROO6 fully counterclockwise to set it off once, and
then increase the level to the specified value.
(2) Handling of the pickup mechanism (Fig.15)
The semi-secure resistor on the P.W.B. for the
pickup section has been set at the time of shipment
for the appropriate value of laser light. Do not
touch the resistor under any circumstances
when
carrying out operations.
5. Teileauswechselung des Schubladenmechanismus
(1) Entfernen der Schublade (Abb. 5)
Die Schublade 6ffnen, die in Abb. 5 dargestelen zwei
Anschlage (an der linken und rechten Seite) in Rich-
tung der schwarze Pfeile
@® mit einem Schrauben-
zieher losen und die Schublade in richtung des weiBen
Pfeits
© herausnehmen.
(2) Anbringen der Schublade (Abb. 5, 6 und 7)
Den Schalthebel in Richtung des Pfeils© davord rehen.
Die Sperre der Schublade wie in Abb. 6 gezdgt ein-
stellen.Dann
den
Schienenteil
der Schublade
in die
Rille der Ladeplatte ansetzen, so da& der Schat hebel-
stift in die Rille des Gestells eingefthrt wird, und die
Schublade einschieben, dabei die Anschlage in innern
leicht nach
unten
halten.
(Uberpriifen
daB sch
die
Sperre in der in Abb. 5 gezeigten position beimdet.)
(3) Austausch des Disc-Halters (Abb.8)
Nach
Abnehmen
der
Schublade
die
Klauen
des
Disc-Halters wie in Abb.8 gezeigt vom
Fach entfer-
nen
(4) Rack-Austausch (Abb.9)
In Pfeilrichtung abziehen, bei gleichzeitgem Ay heben
der Section C um etwa
1mm
mit einem Scha uben-
zieher,
so
daf& die Klaue

kommt.
(5) Austausch der Hebernocke
Die funf Klauen entfernen.
