When using this electric unit, follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock, and injury, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this unit.
2. Caution: Risk of electric shock. Do not open or attempt to repair the heater
yourself.
3. This heater may get hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not touch hot
surfaces with bare skin. If provided, use handles when moving the heater.
4. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper,
clothes, and curtains, at least 3 feet away from the front of the heater.
Ensure these materials are also kept away from the sides, top, and rear of the
heater. Do not place towels or other objects on the heater.
5. Use extreme caution when operating the heater near children, disabled
persons, or if it is left operating unattended.
6. Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or if the heater
malfunctions, has been dropped, or is damaged in any way. Return the
heater to an authorized service facility for examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustments, or repairs.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or other
similar indoor locations. Never place the heater where it can fall into a
bathtub or water container. To avoid electrical hazards, do not immerse the
heater in water or other liquids.

9. Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs,
runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas to
avoid tripping hazards.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust
openings. This could result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.
11. To prevent fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust openings. Do not use the
heater on soft surfaces, such as a bed, where openings may become blocked.
12. The heater contains hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use the
heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or other flammable liquids are used or
stored. Keep the unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.
13. Avoid using an extension cord as it may overheat and increase the risk of fire.
If an extension cord is necessary, it must be rated for at least 13 AWG.
14. To prevent fire or shock, plug the unit directly into a 230V AC electrical
outlet.
15. To disconnect the heater, turn the controls to the Off position, then remove
the plug from the outlet. Pull the plug, not the cord, to disconnect.
16. Always unplug the unit when moving, cleaning, or when it is not in use.
