[33] AMPLITUDE control
Used for continuous adjustment of the AC ampli-
tude of the output signal at the BNC socket
OUTPUT over a range of approx. 30 dB. The am-
plitude is up to 30 V

the same duty factor as the main signal is output at
the socket ECL OUT synchronous to the main out-

The earthing socket for 4 mm plugs is connected
to the housing and the protective earth conductor
of the mains plug.

The rating plate shows the following data: serial

[42] Mains plug with fuse
This 3-pin plug for non-heating appliances is used
to connect the mains cable. A compartment for the
device fuse (type of fuse → 2.4 Technical Data) is
integrated in the plug together with an additional
compartment for a replacement fuse.

2.3.3 Operating Mode Setting

All operating mode settings are explained briefly below.
It is assumed that the device is switched on, i.e. the
green pilot LED lights up. The display or modification
of individual operating parameters is always carried out
in the same manner for all operating modes. The current
value is first output on the display with the associated
dimension by pressing the operating parameter keys

2.3.4 Free-running Generator Mode

Free-running generator mode is selected if the LEDs of
the keys ,

light up and the FUNCTION switch is not in the
position DC/AMPL.
DC/AMPL it is possible to switch to free-running gene-
rator mode by changing the switch position DC/AMPL
of the FUNCTION switch to one of the standard signal
functions if free-running generator mode was active
before switching to DC/AMPL. It is possible to select
free-running generator mode from the other modes by
pressing the respectively illuminated mode key which
then is extinguished.
The desired signal function can be selected using the
FUNCTION switch, apart from position DC/AMPL. The
frequency can be output on the display by selecting with
