• Obtain spare parts exclusively from the manufacturer.
• Do not attempt to open, disassemble, repair, tamper with, or
modify the product.
• Changes to the product will result in a termination of liability by
the manufacturer.
• Do not operate the product in the presence of explosive fumes.
• Do not use the product in dusty environments. Dust in the device
could lead to overheating.
• Loud or abnormal noises may indicate a malfunction in the
device. Switch off the device.
• When moving the radio from a cold to a warm environment,
humidity may condense inside the radio. In this case you should
wait for an hour before operating the radio again.
• Avoid placing the radio close to sources of heat, e.g. radiators,
open fires, e.g. candles, or devices with strong magnetic fields,
e.g. loudspeakers.
• Place the device on a firm, even surface.
• Avoid places subject to direct sunshine or with a very high level
of dust.
• Do not cover or obstruct the ventilation openings on the product.
NOTE!
Unfavorable environmental conditions such as humidity, excessive
heat or lack of ventilation can damage the device.
Electrical Safety:
• The charger must only be plugged into an earthed socket-outlet.
• In case of an electrical storm, disconnect the mains adapter of
the radio from the mains outlet.
• Do not open the housing of the product, otherwise you are at
risk of getting an electrical shock.
• Do not place any containers with liquids (e.g. vases) on the radio.
• Should liquid or foreign objects fall into the radio, immediately dis
connect the mains adapter from the mains outlet. Have the
product checked by qualified personnel before resuming
operation. Otherwise you are in danger of getting an electrical
shock.
• Please ensure the electrical outlet (plug) is easily accessible.
• Only connect the radio to the mains current via a correctly in
stalled 220 – 240 V~, 50 – 60 Hz mains outlet.
• If the mains cable is damaged, you must have the radio repaired
by an expert before using it again. Otherwise you are in danger of
getting an electrical shock.
• Do not squeeze or sharply bend cable connections.
• Make sure that the voltage of your power outlet matches the
voltage required by the product.
Electromagnetic safety:
• The device generates an electromagnetic field .
• Please pay attention to notices in your area that prohibit or
restrict the use of electronic devices. If there are any warnings,
disconnect the device from the power im mediately.
• The product may cause electromagnetic interference; avoid
using it near sensitive equipment.
• The components contained in the device generate electro-
magnetic energy and magnetic fields. These can affect medical
devices such as pacemakers or defibrillators. Therefore, please
maintain a safe and sufficient distance between medical devices
and the device.
• If you have any reason to believe that the loudspeaker is causing
interference with a medical device, turn off or unplug the
loudspeaker immediately.
Cleaning the device:
• Unplug the product before cleaning.
• Use only a dry cloth to clean the equipment
• Do not use any solvents or cleaning agents as these may
damage the surface or labelling.
• Do not allow children to clean the device.
OPERATION
Please read the safety notices carefully before operating the radio.
Please note all warnings and instructions both on the product and in
the operating manual.
Prepare the device for operation
For optimal battery life, fully charge the battery before first use.
Use the included USB charging cable to connect the device to a USB
power supply, e.g. on a PC, a USB charger or a notebook.
• The red status LED below the USB-C socket lights up when the
device is charging.
• The red status LED below the USB-C socket turns off when the
device is charged.
NOTE!
The charging time of the device depends on the performance of the
USB power source.
The charging time for an empty battery is 4 hours with a USB power
source of 1.5 A.
The char ging time increases if the current output of the USB power
source is lower.
The charging time for an empty battery is approximately 10 hours
with a USB power source of 500 mA.
The battery life depends on the use of the device. At high volume
more energy is required than at low volume.
Unplug the device from the power source once it is fully charged.
