Function Button and Joystick
The Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2 Pro has a Function (Fn) button and
a Joystick Controller. These functions can be re-assigned to customise
your Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2 Pro.
To customise your Fn Key and Joystick settings, click on the Settings
buttons and use the Function button
either 4 Joystick settings.
Choose between the following options:
Action Description
Next MIDI Ch. Changes the MIDI Channel
Disable No setting
Next Voice Changes the voice
Voice 1 This lets you make a function that switches the
voice back to a specific number you've pre-set.
For instance, you could set it as when you
press the 'Fn button', the voice always changes
to voice number 40, 'Cello'.
Note: The voice number will save to what is
updated to, e.g. 'Voice 12'
Transpose to C This lets you make a function that transposes
back to a specific key you've pre-set.
For instance, you could set it as when
you press the 'Fn button', the key always
transposes back to E♭.
Note: The Transpose key will save to what is
updated to, e.g. 'Transpose to E♭'
Portamento Creates a playing style effect unique to the
chosen voice. Please refer to the Technique
chart to find the effect.
Note: Only some voices are altered by the
Technique effect
Modulation Changes the effect or loudness of the voice

Pitch Bend Up The effect where one note will slide to another
note, this case the pitch bending up in pitch.
Pitch Bend The effect where one note will slide to another
Down note, this case the pitch bending down in pitch.
CC# MIDI Continuous Controllers (CC) list shows
you 127 control change messages and what
they do by default. For example, adding
vibrato, changing volume smoothly or suddenly,
and controlling reverb.
