- Heat the empty device for approx. 10 minutes. The slight smoke and odor that will probably be produced are
completely harmless. This is a matter of protective oils that were applied during production. Ensure good
ventilation of the room during this period!

Use
- Place the Raclette oven on a stable, flat and heat-resistant surface. If necessary, use a washable, sufficiently
heat-resistant mat to protect sensitive surfaces from cheese spatters during serving.
- Ensure that the device stands plane and the heating element is located on top.
- Place the grill plate flush with the support on top of the heating element.
- Swing the cheese tray towards you and place a piece of Raclette cheese onto it, the cut surface facing
upwards. Fix the cheese with the two hooks at the rim of the tray.
- Adjust the distance to the heating element with the adjustment screw and position the cheese tray centrally
underneath. Attention: Make sure that the piece of Raclette cheese comes not into contact with the heating
element!
- Insert the power cord into the device and plug the cord into a suitable socket according to chapter 13 Technical
specifications.
- Turn the temperature control to the highest level to heat the heating rod and the grill plate as quickly as possible.
Afterwards you can reduce the temperature to a medium level with the help of the temperature control.
- Brush the grill plate with a little oil, especially when cooking non-marinated food.
- As soon as the grill plate has reached the desired temperature, you can place the prepared pieces of food
on it.
Note: In order to protect the non-stick coating of the grill top, use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils to
turn and remove the food. Do not cut on the grill top. Do not leave any utensils that can melt or deform
on the hot grill top.
- Once the top layer of the cheese is melted and slightly browned, swing the cheese tray towards you and tilt
it by pushing the handle backwards. Now you can scrape off the melted cheese with the even side of the
scraper onto a plate or directly onto a slice of bread.
Risk of burns or injury!
Very high temperatures arise. Touch the cheese tray by the black plastic handle only!
- Position the cheese tray horizontally and swing it back under the heating element. If necessary, reduce the
distance to the heating element and let the next layer of cheese melt.
- For regular results and to scrape off the cheese easily you can, if necessary, cut the rim of the cheese with
the serrated side of the scraper.
-We recommend not operating the appliance for long periods without food. Switch it off during longer breaks
and switch it back on when needed.
- After use, adjust the temperature control to the lowest level. To switch off the device absolutely pull the plug
from the socket and let the appliance cool down completely on the table before putting it away.
