Safety instructions
Failure to observe the following instructions may result in
personal injury:
• Before using the device, you must read these instructions
carefully to ensure that you operate the device safely. Keep
these instructions in a safe place.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorized persons.
• For safety reasons and to maintain the warranty on the device,
repairs to the measuring device must only be carried out by
qualified personnel using genuine parts.
• When not in use, the device should be stored in the bag
supplied.
• Avoid contact with water and dust.
• Remove the battery if you are not going to use the device for
a long period.
Operating the device
Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the device.
Selecting the required mode
After switching on the device, you must press the button for
approx. 3 seconds to enter the selection mode (the symbol
flashes in the display). Now press the button as many times as
necessary until the required symbol appears in the display.
Four modes can be selected
• Wood moisture measuring mode
• Mode for measuring solid materials such as screed
• Ambient temperature measurement in °C
• Ambient temperature measurement in °F
After selecting the required mode, wait for a further 3 seconds.
The device now adjusts automatically and you can begin taking
readings.
