Installing the GPS aerial
• People who use pacemakers should avoid a physical contact with
the magnetic aerial and should not handle it themselves. This causes
malfunctions of the pacemakers.
• The aerial should be attached so firmly that it cannot be detached in
the event of a collision or sudden braking.
• Do not install the GPS aerial outside the car. The GPS aerial is not
water-proof and is indoor-use only.
Installing on the dashboard
Beneath a non-metallised* window, fix the double sided tape on the
dashboard, then place the aerial on the mat.
• Make sure that the aerial is not covered by any components and
parts of the car and it can receive the signals from all directions.
* The windows with screen aerial, windscreen heating or
thermally insulated screens will interfere with GPS reception,
and will degrade the reliability of the Navigation System.

Installing on the windscreen
Place the aerial in the aerial holder, and attach the holder on a non-
metallised part of the windscreen.
• The non-metallised glass usually looks darker compared to
metallised glass.
• You can run the aerial cable through either cut on the sides of the
holder, whichever suits your installation style.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
To prevent short circuits, we recommend that you disconnect the
battery's negative terminal and make all electrical connections before
installing the unit.
• Be sure to ground this unit to the car's chassis again after
installation.
PRECAUTIONS on power supply and speaker connections:
• DO NOT connect the speaker leads of the power cord to the
car battery; otherwise, the unit will be seriously damaged.
• BEFORE connecting the speaker leads of the power cord to the
speakers, check the speaker wiring in your car.
Installieren der GPS-Antenne
• Personen mit Herzschrittmachern müssen physischen Kontakt
mit der Magnetantenne vermeiden und sollten diese nicht
selber handhaben. Dadurch können Fehlfunktionen bei
Herzschrittmachern verursacht werden.
• Die Antenn muss fest angebacht werden, damit sie sich bei
plötzlichem Bremsen nicht lösen kann.
• Bringen Sie die GPS-Antenne nicht außen am Fahrzeug an. Die
GPS-Antenne ist nicht wasserfest und ist nur für Innenverwendung
gedacht.
Installation am Armaturenbrett
Unter einem nicht-metallisierten* Fenster bringen Sie das
doppelseitige Klebeband auf dem Armaturenbrett an und setzen
dann die Antenne auf die Matte.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Antenne nicht von Komponenten oder
Fahrzeugteilen verdeckt ist und Signale aus allen Richtungen
empfangen kann.
* Fenster mit Scheibenantennen, Scheibenheizdrähten oder
thermisch isolierte Scheiben können den GPS Empfang stören und
die Zuverlässigkeit des Navigationssystems beeinträchtigen.
Installation an der Windschutzscheibe
Setzen Sie die Antenne in den Antennenhalter und bringen den Halter
an dem nicht-metallisierten Teil der Windschutzscheibe an.
• Das nicht-metallisierte Glas sieht im Vergleich zu metallisiertem Glas
normalerweise dunkler aus.
• Sie können das Antennenkabel durch einen der Ausschnitten an
den Seiten des Halters führen, je nachdem welcher am besten zu
Ihrer Installationsweise passt.

ELEKTRISCHE ANSCHLÜSSE
Zur Vermeidung von Kurzschlüssen empfehlen wir, daß Sie den
negativen Batterieanschluß abtrennen und alle elektrischen
Anschlüsse herstellen, bevor das Gerät eingebaut wird.
• Sicherstellen erneut, daß das Gerät nach dem Einbau Chassis
des Fahrzeugs geerdet wird.
VORSICHTSMASSREGELN beim Anschließen der Stromversorgung
und Lautsprecher:
• Die Lautsprecherleitungen des Netzkabels NICHT an der
Autobatterie anschließen, da sonst das Gerät schwer
beschädigt wird.
• VOR dem Anschließen der Lautsprecherleitungen des Spannunsgver
sorgungskabels an die Lautsprecher, die Lautsprecherverdrahtung in
Ihrem Auto überprüfen.

Installation de l'antenne GPS
• Les personnes utilisant un stimulateur cardiaque doivent éviter tout
contact physique avec l'antenne magnétique et ne doivent pas la
manipuler elles-même. Cela pourrait entraîner un dysfonctionnement
du stimulateur cardiaque.
• L'antenne doit être fixée suffisamment solidement pour qu'elle ne
puisse pas se détacher en cas de choc ou de coup de frein brutal.
• N'installez pas l'antenne GPS à l'extérieur de la voiture. L'antenne
GPS n'est pas étanche à l'eau et doit être utilisée uniquement à
l'intérieur.
Installation sur le tableau de bord
Derrière une fenêtre non métallisée*, fixez le ruban adhésif à double
face sur le tableau de bord, puis placez l'antenne sur le matelas.
• Assurez-vous que l'antenne n'est recouverte par aucun composant
ou aucune partie de la voiture et peut recevoir les signaux de toutes
les directions.
* Les vitres avec une antenne incrustée, les chauffages de pare-brise
ou les écrans d'isolation thermique interfèrent avec la réception
GPS et réduisent la fiabilité du système de navigation.
Installation sur la vitre arrière
Placez l'antenne dans le support d'antenne et attachez le support sur
une partie non métallisée de la vitre arrière.
• Une vitre non métallisée parait habituellement plus sombre qu'une
vitre métallisée.
• Vous pouvez faire passer le câble d'antenne à travers n'importe
quelle ouverture latérale du support; celle qui convient le mieux à
votre type d'installation.
RACCORDEMENTS ELECTRIQUES
Pour éviter tout court-circuit, nous vous recommandons de débrancher
la borne négative de la batterie et d'effectuer tous les raccordements
électriques avant d'installer l'appareil.
• Assurez-vous de raccorder de nouveau la mise à la masse de
cet appareil au châssis de la voiture après l'installation.
PRECAUTIONS sur l'alimentation et la connexion des enceintes:
• NE CONNECTEZ PAS les fils d'enceintes du cordon
d'alimentation à la batterie; sinon, l'appareil serait
sérieusement endommagé.
• AVANT de connecter les fils d'enceintes du cordon d'alimentation
aux enceintes, vérifiez le câblage des enceintes de votre voiture.
