ASSEMBLY
Warning: This product can only be used with an Aquaglide Runway or Aquaglide
Swimstep in order for users to safely gain access to the feature. Failure to use an
access pad will render this product unsafe and unusable.
1) Locate a flat, dry area with access to electrical outlet or extension cord. IMPORTANT:
Because of the size of the Universal, and is commonly used to connect other Aquapark
items, careful thought must be given to the setup area. The best setup position will
also make launching easy, so ideally the Universal tube should be carefully carried into
position at the water's edge.
NOTE: Dragging or sliding the Universal over ground either before or after inflation can
cause damage. If assembling in an area with rocks, sharp objects or other hazards, it
is recommended to set up the product on a tarp or carpet.
2) Once in the setup/ launch position, unpack the Universal and locate the main
inflation valve. If the Universal is to be attached to another Aquapark item, we suggest
attaching the items deflated. See the Vario-Lock cinch strap instructions on the next
page for detailed assembly instructions.
NOTE: It is also possible to attach items to the Universal after launch. In this case,
inflate connecting items and have a swimmer attach from the water.
3) Once attached, inflate the Universal to 2.0 psi. (0,138 bar). Check for proper air
pressure using a manometer. As with any inflatable, take caution on the inflation
pressure and do not over inflate.
WARNING: Do not use an air compressor to inflate tube. Air compressors are designed
for high-pressure inflation and can cause damage to the product if over-inflated.
4) To launch the product, make sure to have at least 4 people evenly spaced around
the product to help carry it. NEVER DRAG THE UNIVERSAL! YOU MUST LIFT AND
SET TO AVOID ANY ACCIDENTAL TEARING ON SHARP OBJECTS.
Each of the 8 sides of the UNIVERSAL has 5 stainless steel D-rings per side for
connection to other Aquaglide products. These rings can also be used to tie up small
boats, kayaks, PWC's and other items.
UNIVERSAL also has 4 welded stainless steel anchor rings on the underside of the
product, at every other corner, that are to be used for Anchoring purposes. Due
to the high loads that may be generated, you must use AT LEAST 2 of these rings
to spread the load and properly secure the product under normal conditions. We
strongly recommend using our optional 2-Way Heavy Duty Mooring Bridles, not
included.
