This symbol indicates information that contributes to better unders-
tanding.
INTENDED USE
With the HDMI audio extractor you can extract the original HDMI audio signal and
convert it into digital, optical or analog multi-channel audio signals. This allows you
to output the audio signal to external speakers or extend the path of the audio signal.
The extractor is used e.g. when the image display does not support sound. When
connected to a 4K2K display at the same time, the video is displayed without downg-
rading the resolution.

housing.
If damage is apparent, stop using the product!
IMPROPER USE
Improper use in the sense of foreseeable misuse is considered:
Do not disassemble the InLine® HDMI audio extractor.
Use the product only in dry, closed rooms and do not expose it to direct sun-
light, extreme temperatures or humidity.
APPLICATION
Front side
1.
HDMI IN: This slot is used to connect source devices such as Blu-ray/PS3
players with HDMI signal transmission.

LPCM: This LED lights when the output audio EDID is switched to LPCM 7.1CH.

Link: This LED lights when the input source is connected to an HDMI signal.
4.
Power: This LED lights up when the device is connected to power.
5.
TV/Bitstream/LPCM 7.1CH: This switch allows users to select the audio EDID
of the source.
TV mode: Switch to TV mode to use the EDID of the HDMI output port. The
sound supports up to LPCM 7.1 channels.
Bitstream mode: Switch to Bitstream mode to use the EDID of the HDMI out-
put port. The sound supports up to compressed audio 5.1 channels.
LPCM 7.1CH mode: Switch to LPCAM 7.1 mode to use the EDID of the HDMI
output port. The sound supports up to LPCM 7.1 channels.
Note: Depending on the input audio format, the device may not output audio to
all output ports. For example, the optical output port will not output audio if the
input audio format is larger than LPCM 7.1CH.

Power: Press this button to turn on the device or put it in standby mode.
