Functional Check
• When checki ng the RTW function after film wind, set
the selector d ial at "C" or "S" and press the test butto n. If
the motor whirs and the film end d isplay comes on instan -
taneously w hen pressure on the button is re leased, it is an
indicat ion t hat the Real Time Winder is fun ctioning pro-
perl y (o r t hat th e ba tt eri es have suff icient power).
• When checki ng the RTW function wit hou t mount ing it
on the came ra base, set the se lector dia l at "C" or "S" and
t hen press t he t est butto n. If the fi lm dr ive st ud rotates
(and the film end disp lay comes on w hen pressure on the
butto n is released), it means that everything is in order.
If the moto r fails to whi r , or if the f il m drive stud f ai ls to
rotate or turns on ly very slowly, replace or recharge the
batter ies. When using AA si ze batteri es, rep lace all six wi th
new ones.
Precautions
• Bef ore insta lli ng the batter ies in the battery case, w ipe
both ends clea n w ith a piece of soft, dry cloth. Oily smea rs
on the co ntact ends may resu lt in ma lf unct ion due to poor
elect ri ca l contact .
• I n case you r Rea l Tim e Wi nder is to be left unused over
any great length of t ime, take out the batteri es from its
compartment. Take along spa re batter ies w hen going on
exte nded tours.
• Do not throw used batteri es into open f ire or attempt to
dismantle them.
