Battery Installation
As its power source, the Rea l Time Winder uses six 1.5 V
AA size batteries or RTW Ni-Cd Pack (7.2 V) available as
optional accesso ry.
[I] Fold out the battery compa rt ment in the direct ion of
the arrow while dep ressing the battery co mpartment lock
release.
~ I nstall the batteries in the battery com partment.
• When using AA size batter ies, set them properly in the
Wi nder Battery Case by match ing thei r po larity with the
diagram. Then, install the Wi nder Battery Case in the
battery com partment (see photos).
The perfo rma nce of the Real Time Winder depends larg ely
on the type of batter ies used. For best results, the use of
alkaline batteries is recommended.
• When using t he RTW Ni-Cd Pack, install it in the battery
co mpartment with t he label side facing outs ide.
• For recharging the RTW Ni-Cd Pack, always use the
exc lu sive RTW Charging Adapter and N i-Cd Battery
Charger ava ilab le as opt ional accessories.
• Wh en photographing in frigid ambient temperature, the
battery performance may be adversely affected by the co ld
temperature. I n such a case, the use of the RTW Power
Pack and RTW Powe r Cord both ava il able as opt ional
accessor ies is recomme nded. The power pack w ill protect
the batte ri es from be ing affected by the co ld temperature.
