Stabilising tummy section

CARRY STAR fits perfectly

Tummy-to-tummy
We recommend this method from birth until
your baby is approximately one year old.
Before you put your CARRY STAR on, adjust the
carrier to fit you, and use the "Grow & Go" system to
adapt it to your baby, as described in the additional
instructions.
Open both outer buckles of the material mantle
1
and roll out the abdomen section. Check that the
connector between the shoulder straps is connected
and that the two clasps that secure the shoulder straps
at the front are firmly in place.
Take hold of the shoulder straps and put your
2
CARRY STAR over your head, like a rucksack. The
connector that connects the shoulder straps must be
approximately in the middle of your shoulder blades.
Fasten the hip belt. Ensure that you hear it "click".
3
You can now adjust the hip belt to the appropriate length.
Open the pocket on the hip belt and unroll the
4
CARRY STAR carrier (that is, the back section).
Ensure that the "Grow & Go" system buttons have
been passed through the correct button holes (of the
same colour) and through the metal eyelets, as
described in the additional instructions. The button
settings must be the same on both sides. Put any
extra material back in the pocket.
Pull the seat padding over all the buttons and the
5
zip, so that your baby can sit comfortably.
Now pick up your baby and use one hand to
6
support his head and neck. Use your other hand to
place his legs to the left and right of your CARRY STAR.
If necessary, lean back slightly and bend your legs a little.
Using your free hand, place the back section of
7
your CARRY STAR carrier over your baby's back and
ensure that your hands hold both your baby and the
top of your CARRY STAR back support. Always ensure
that your baby's head is well supported.
Hold your baby firmly with one hand and fasten
8
the clasps on the shoulder straps to the main part of
the carrier. Swap hands so that you can do this on both
sides. Ensure that you hear each clasp "click". Now you
can pull tight the shoulder straps and the two black

cords under the head and neck support so that carrying
your child is comfortable for you both. Do not let go of
your baby and always ensure that his breathing is not
obstructed. Your baby should be sitting high enough for
you to be able to kiss the top of his head easily.
Now fasten the two back section clasps on each side
9
of the carrier. Ensure that you hear each clasp "click".
Then tighten them so that your baby can sit securely.
When you tighten these back section clasps, ensure
that you do not straighten your baby's spine too much.
Place your hands behind your baby's knees and pull
10
them up slightly so that they are higher than his bottom.
This ensures that he is comfortable and secure, and
promotes healthy hip development. Now pull out the
material at the side of your CARRY STAR until it is
under your baby's knee on each side. This provides
optimal support. To avoid pressure points, ensure that
the material is not creased.
Pull tight the two black cords in the centre under
11
the head and neck support until the head and neck
region of the child is well supported. Ensure that your
child can breathe normally.
Done!

carrier and support your baby's head and neck. Now
let go of the back section of your CARRY STAR, take
your baby out and lie him down in a secure place.
Undo the hip belt at the back and take off your

Back carry method
(See photos on page C,1)
Please do not carry your baby on your back
until he can hold his head up on his own (from
the age of about five months).
Before you put your CARRY STAR on, adjust the
carrier to fit you and use the "Grow & Go" system to
adapt it to your baby, as described in the additional
instructions.
