FILTER:
The filter is one of the most powerful tools of rhodestar . It is a continuously adjustable low-pass
filter. When fully open the filter has no effect, providing a clear sound reminiscent of the early
80s and the Mark II era. As you turn the control back the high frequencies are sharply cut. This
sound defined the 70s and is often associated with the Mark I.
NOTE : If you connect your Rhodes through the instrument's jack output and leave the
TREBLE control in the middle position, the filter will have only a subtle effect because the
Rhodes itself already applies significant high-frequency attenuation. To avoid this please use the
RCA output on your Rhodes (open the lid, rear left).
The filter shows its strength with the TREBLE control turned up. Give it a try!
comp:
This LED indicates the activity of the optical compressor. The compressor engages more intensely
as the equalizer and GAIN control are used more heavily. The compressor has an attack time,
so that extreme peak levels can lead to short-term distortions.
