• Check Impeller for signs of wear or damage, replace if

• Care must be taken not to damage the pump body during
removal.

5.03 Cam
• For pumps without integrated Cam, undo cam screw located
on outside of pump. (located between ports)
• Sealant maybe present between cam and body. Carefully
remove cam and ensure cam pin is present in body.
5.04 Wearplate
• With Cam removed, slide wearplate off shaft.
• Check wearplate for wear or damage. Wearplate may contain
static seal face or have polished face for seal, ensure care
during removal.
5.05 Seals
Single mechanical seals:
Dynamic Face
• With wearplate removed access to the seal is possible.
• Remove seal retaining ring.
• Slide dynamic seal face from shaft. Inspect components for
wear and replace if required.
Static Face
• Seals can carefully be pulled out from body recess. Inspect seal
for wear and replace if required.
• If seal cannot easily be removed then follow body removal
below and push seal out of body from rear face.
Lip Seals:
• Lip seals can be pulled out using either seal pullers or with
suitable pliers
• Check lip seals for damage and replace as required.
5.06 Body
Bolted:
• Loosen all bolts holding body to pedestal or adaptor. Check
body moves freely and if it is stuck tap carefully sideways with
a soft hammer, do not lever off.
• Once body loose, remove bolts and washers completely while
supporting body.
5.07 Bearing Housing
Lip Seals
• Both front and rear lip seals can be pulled out using either seal
pullers or with suitable pliers
• Check lip seals for damage and replace as required.
Bearing removal
• Bearing extractor or Arbor press may be required.
• Remove lips seal as above.
• Remove retaining rings use correct retaining ring pliers.
• Press on the impeller end of the shaft to remove the shaft and
bearing assembly.
• Bearings can be removed from the shaft by pressing the
bearing from the inner race.
• Inspect all parts and replace as required.
5.08 Adaptor
• Loosen adaptor to motor retaining bolts.
• Ensure adaptor moves freely and if it is stuck tap carefully
sideways with a soft hammer, do not lever off.
• Once adaptor is loose, remove bolts completely while
supporting adaptor.
• With shaft adaptor now in view, mark location and loosen
retaining grub screws and remove from motor shaft.
6. ASSEMBLY
6.01 Adapter
• Slide adaptor over shaft and locate on motor boss.
• Align bolt hole on adaptor with motor threads.
• Tighten bolts and washers to torque shown in table. Ensure
adaptor in fully seated.
6.02 Bearing housing
Bearing fitment
• Bearing extractor or Arbor press may be required.
• Press bearings onto shaft until fully seated against shaft
journal. Only press against bearing inner race and use tooling
to prevent damage to shaft.
• Insert front retaining ring into retaining ring groove using
retaining ring pliers.
• Insert impeller end of shaft assembly into rear of bearing
housing, Press on the inner race of rear bearing to push shaft as-
sembly into bearing housing until it meets front retaining ring.
• Insert rear retaining ring into retaining ring groove using
retaining ring pliers.
Lip Seals
• Lubricate both front and rear lip seals and press into bearing
housing.
6.03 Body
Bolted:
• Ensure body is clean and align bolt holes in bearing housing/
adaptor with body threads.
• Fit all bolts with washers finger tight to hold body in place.
• Tighten all bolts to torque shown in table.
• Ensure body and adaptor/bearing housing sit flush.
6.04 Seals
Single mechanical seals:
Static Face
• Ensure seal is clean and free from damage.
• Lubricate seal rubber and press seal into body bore.
• Ensure seal is fully home and square to shaft.
Dynamic Face
• Ensure seal is clean and free from damage.
