Danger:
Exercise caution w hen handling the
appliance! The blades (7) are very
sharp. Handle the blades w ith extreme cauti-
on in order to avoid injury. Alw ays w ait until
the blades have completely stopped rotating.

Caution – w arning!
Do not leave the appliance unatten-
ded w hile it is in operation so as to
be able to intervene quickly in the
event of danger.
Sw itch off the appliance after use. By
doing so you w ill avoid unnecessary
use of energy and ensure you are safe
from any possible risks.
If the appliance is not going to be used for
an extended period, w e recommend that you
unplug the mains plug from the pow er out-
let socket.
Wait for the blades (7) to stop rotating befo-
re taking the blender out of the blended
food.
If the appliance jams w hile blending, imme-
diately unplug the appliance from the mains
and remove the obstruction, e.g. a jammed
piece of fruit or vegetable.
Do not sw itch on the blender until
the blending attachment is immersed
in the mixture.
If you w ant to w ork directly in the saucepan
from the cooker so as to avoid spraying boi-
ling liquid or overheating the blending at-
tachment.
Before blending, allow boiling liquids to cool
dow n to 80°C.
Caution !
Risk of scalding w hen handling hot
liquids
The hand blender is ideal for preparing dips,
sauces, soups,
mayonnaise, baby foods and mixing drinks or
milk-shakes. It is equally suited to puréeing
soft fruit and cooked vegetables.
Place the food to be blended in a suitably lar-
bow l no more than 2/3 full. Use the non-slip
base to provide a secure footing.
Fit the blending attachment onto the
in position by tw isting it anti-clockw ise
until it perceptibly snaps into place.
There should be no gap betw een the
blending attachment and the motor ca-
sing. The tw o parts must be securely

the motor casing.
Sw it ching on
Plug the mains plug into a suitable pow -
er outlet socket.
Variable speed
Set the desired speed using the speed
adjuster (1).
To blend, press button 2.
Turbo mode, maximum speed
Pressing the Turbo button (3) sw it-
ches the blender immediately to full
pow er. The position of the speed ad-
juster then has no effect. In Turbo mode, the
hand blender alw ays operates at maximum
speed and the speed cannot be varied.
