4) BAGEL FUNCTION (6) for toasting a surface only
a) Insert the bread slices, bagels or buns into the toaster slots (1) directly or put them into the sandwich
cages (11 - not included).
In case of sandwiches, you should put them into the slots using the sandwich cages (11 - not included).
b) Select the desired browning level from 1 to 7 by knob (5a) rotation: the higher the number, the greater the
browning level.
c) Switch the toaster ON by pressing the ON switch lever (3) down. The ON/OFF ring (5c) and STOP (5b) but-
ton will light up.
d) Select the desired function by pressing the bagel function button (6). The button light will change from
white to red. During bagel mode the toaster will automatically turn only the outer heating elements ON. In
this way you will have a toasted and crunchy surface but the other one will be soft. You can exit from it at
any time by pressing again the same button (6). The button light will come back to white and the toaster will
work again as toasting function.
e) When the cycle will be finished, the bread support will go up automatically.
f) Do not remove the bread slices or the sandwich racks from the slots (1) when toaster works. You can stop it
at any time by pressing the STOP button (5b).

Automatic shutdown
The toaster is equipped with a system that automatically switches off the device when the desired function
will be finished. You can stop any heating cycle at any time by pressing the STOP button (5b).
Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Always disconnect the toaster from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
Before cleaning, be sure the toaster is cold. Clean the exterior surface of the toaster with a clean, damp
cloth to preserve its original highly polished finish. Dry and polish with a soft cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring agents of any kind on the interior or exterior of the toaster.
Do not immerse the toaster in water or other liquid, and be sure that the electric toaster plug (8) is kept dry.
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TOASTER WHEN IT IS NOT IN USE AND BEFORE CLEANING IT. DO NOT UNPLUG THE TO-
ASTER BY PULLING ON THE CABLE. DO NOT IMMERSE CABLES, PLUGS OR THE TOASTER IN WATER OR OTHER
LIQUIDS, EITHER PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY.
1) Before cleaning the toaster, unplug it. Do not unplug it by pulling on the cable.
2) Wait for the toaster to cool before fitting or removing parts and before cleaning the toaster.
3) Clean only the outside surfaces of the toaster.
4) The toaster must be cleaned with a dry or slightly dampened non-abrasive cloth soaked with a few drops of
neutral non-corrosive detergent (never use solvents).
5) The commands area (4, 5, 6) containing the control and operating buttons must be cleaned only with a soft
and dry cloth.
6) To clean the crumb tray (7), just carry out the following steps:
a) Remove the crumb tray (7) from the toaster body (2) by pressing it. It will be ejected automatically.
b) Wash all the surfaces by hand and with neutral detergents.
