5.2 Assembly of double remote throttle
5.3 Connection rod; motor distance
It is basically possible to assemble the motors at a different distance from the one shown
in the diagram above. This works in both directions: both closer together and further apart.
Depending on the type of boat, the load and weight distribution in the boat, different out-
puts and speed results may be achieved because of the various motor distances.
If the motors are less than 56 cm apart from each other, the maximum possible steering
lock automatically reduces. Please also note the following warning.
If the installation varies from the recommended installation shown in
the diagram, the responsible assembler must attach an appropriate
connecting rod so that the motors can be operated without restrictions
or risks.
Torqeedo does not accept any liability for damage that may occur if the
connecting rod supplied is not used.
In the middle of this operating ma-
nual (P. 14/15) you will find a drilling
diagram that provides the precise di-
mensions of the double remote throttle
with a 1:1 scale and acts as the basis
for assembly on board.
