Returning Old Equipment
When the device has reached the end of its service life, use the return of
goods system provided by Telekom for the old device. More information is
available at www.telekom.de/altgeraet-zurueckgeben or bring the old device
to a collection point provided by your local waste disposal authority (e.g.
recycling centre).
The adjacent symbol indicates that the old equipment must be
disposed of separate from domestic waste. According to the
directives on electrical and electronic equipment, owners of old
equipment are legally obliged to dispose of old electrical and
electronic equipment in a separate waste container.
Batteries or rechargeable batteries must, where possible and where they are
not permanently installed, be removed and sorted as described prior to
disposal. Batteries containing hazardous substances are identified by the
above symbol. It indicates that they must not be disposed of in household
waste. According to the Battery Law, consumers are legally obliged to return
used batteries to the distributor or a collection point provided by the public
waste disposal authorities. Dealers (Telekom or specialist dealers) take back
used device batteries in normal household quantities in their retail store free
of charge and take care of environmentally friendly disposal and recycling of
the materials. If your dealer is not nearby, you can return used batteries to
your municipal waste disposal authorities (e.g. container for batteries or
recycling centre). These centres are also obliged to take back used batteries
free of charge.
Before disposing of the old device, we explicitly recommend deleting all
personal data and resetting the factory settings.
