OPERATION
1.
Open the lid: Hold the handle firmly and turn the lid clockwise until it releases. (see figure D1&D2)
2.
Remove the inner pot and fill it with food and water. Food and water should not be higher than 4/5
and not lower than 1/5 of the height of the inner pot. For expandable food, it should not be higher
than 3/5. (see figure D3,D4&D5)
3.
Clean the inner pot and the heating plate before placing the inner pot. Make sure the heating plate
and outer pot are clean and free of debris before use. Then place the inner pot on the heating plate
and make sure it fits tightly in the heating place by turning the inner pot slightly. (see figure D6)
4.
Close the lid of the pressure cooker.
Check the rubber seal ring to make sure it is secured to the ring.
Close the lid of the pressure cooker and turn it counterclockwise until it clicks into place (see
figure D7&D8)
5.
Set the pressure relief valve to the 'seal position'. (see figure 9) Make sure that the float valve is in
the down position. (see figure 9&10)
6.
Plug the pressure cooker into a grounded outlet. The screen will show "0000".
7.
Press the selected menu button. For example, press "rice" to cook rice. The indicator lights up and
the display shows "0010". The preset cooking time (hold pressure) for rice is 10 minutes. The
indicator will flash 5 times and then start cooking or it will start counting down if you have set the
timer for a delayed start. Once started, the display shows 2 digits, preceded by a "-". The "-" will
scroll across the screen. This display will remain until the desired heating or pressure is reached.
Once the internal pressure builds up, the float valve on the lid will rise and shut down the safety
system that prevents the lid from opening during the further working time. When the required
working heat or pressure is reached, the display will change to "p10". This indicates that the 10
minute cooking program is installed. If another time program is selected, the specific time required
will illuminate (for example, "p15" or "p20"). When this happens the display will automatically count
down each minute and show the remaining cooking time on the display.
