bEFoRE fitting the chest belt to any wheelchair/seating system, please consult the
wheelchair/seating system manufacturer's manual (or contact them) to find out if it is
acceptable to do so.
Standard Solid backrest Installation with Rear Pull adjusters
The following fitting instructions are only guidelines as seating systems vary according
to manufacturer.
1. Identify mounting location for all upper and lower straps on the backrest. Drill holes
or locate T-nut positions on the backrest.
2. Insert Uppper Straps through Three-Bar Slides and loop through side release
buckles (Fig. 1). Finish by routing back through Three-Bar Slides (Fig. 2).
3. Attach Upper Straps to the backrest with appropriate
screws or bolts (not included) as shown in Figure 3.
4. Attach Lower Cam Buckles to backrest with
appropriate screws or bolts (not included), see Fig. 4.
5. Thread the Lower Straps through Lower Cam
Buckles.
6. Place the hareness over the user's head and
shoulders. With the Lower Cam Buckles open, pull
the straps for a secure fit to the user and close the cam buckles to in position.
Tighten the top straps with 'D' Ring Adjusters.
