Disconnect two of the three plug connectors of the drive motor and take into operation first the transmitter and then the
model. With the control lever for the pitch function in the centre position, the paddles, paddle rod linkage levers, the pitch
compensator lever, the swash plate and the front swash plate reversing levers must be horizontally aligned. The linkage
lever of the rear swash plate linkage must be aligned vertically. The rotor blades must have an angle of attack of 0°.
The figure also shows the attachment options for two 3-cell rechargeable batteries and installation of a 6-cell rechargeable
battery. In this case, triangular holders must be installed at the chassis. For more information on this, see page P.16.
Gear ratios and rotor head speeds:
In the delivery condition, the front main gear pinion has 50 teeth and the 1st gear level pinion has 19 teeth. The rear main
gear pinion has 61 teeth. The motor and motor pinion can be chosen freely.
If you use a motor with 1400 KV, the motor will reach a max. speed of 31080 rotations per minute with a 6-cell rechargeable
battery (6x 3.7 V = 22.2 V) 1400 x 22.2 = 31080).
If a motor pinion with 14 teeth is used, the following gear ratio results: (61:19) x (50:14) = 11.47. The rotor head speed is
then at approx. 2710 rotations per minute (31080 : 11,47 = 2709,67)
For extreme 3D flight, we recommend using a motor pinion with 15 teeth. The maximum rotor head rotational speed is then
at 2905 rotations per minute.
The pinion with 50 teeth is designed for 1400 KV motors and the recommended drive battery. If you use any
different motor or a battery with a different number of cells, you can change the gear ratio. A structured overview
of the possible gear rations is available on page P.3 of the manufacturer's manual.
Setting the pitch values:
Adjust the mechanics or the pitch curve in the transmitter to achieve the following values:
Control lever position
Flight condition "Normal"
Flight condition "Freestyle"
Important!
The serial tail rotor blades with a length of 69 mm (#204757) are intended for speeds above 2600 rotations per
minute. If you operate your helicopter below this speed, use the tail rotor blades with a length of 79 mm (#204755)
that are available from the accessories list.
