Con il Thermo Control II avete comprato un termostato digitale dell'
IT
ultima generazione che è in grado di controllare tutti i riscaldatori di
acquari e vivari di tutti i tipi comuni con un carico massimo di 1200W. Un allarme
avverte otticamente ma anche in modo acustico se la temperatura è troppo alta o
troppo bassa (la temperatura massima o minima è determinabile). In più il termo-
stato ha un temporizzatore che permette di cronometrare apparecchi supplementari
di controllo come l'illuminazione o i ventilatori. L'indicazione ininterrotta della
temperatura ed il piccolo formato del termostato concedono l'uso come termometro
supplementare.
Norme di funzionamento
• L'apparecchio può essere utilizzato solamente in 230 V / 50/60 Hz.
• La posizione è a scelta dell'utilizzatore. Prestare la massima attenzione per evi-
tare cadute accidentali in acqua!
• La temperatura di utilizzo deve essere compresa tra 0°C e 40°C.
• L'apparecchio è espressamente indicato per l'uso in ambienti asciutti e puliti.
• In caso di sviluppo di condensa, bisognerà prevedere un tempo di acclimatizza-
zione di circa due ore.
• Proteggere l'apparecchio da umidità, spruzzi d'acqua e surriscaldamento!
Uso corretto
L'apparecchio può essere utilizzato con i sistemi di riscaldamento/raffreddamen-
to normalmente disponibili in commercio per regolare la temperatura dell'aria o
dell'acqua in contenitori (es. Acquari o Terrari) o stanze. Ogni altro utilizzo è es-
pressamente vietato!
Installazione:
Installate il sensore di temperatura ad un punto adatto all'interno del terrarium/
aquarium. Se dovreste avere pendenze di temperatura nel vostro terrarium, dovete
pensare a quale punto desiderate controllare con il termostato. Si suggerisce, nella
maggior parte dei casi, di fissare il sensore nel centro del terrarium, appena sopra
il substrato, mentre è raccomandabile, per l'uso nei acquari un punto in cui avete un
buon flusso dell'acqua intorno al sensore.
Collocate il termostato in tal modo che può controllare facilmente la temperatura
visualizzata. Connettete gli apparecchi che desiderate controllare nelle prese dei
termostati: i riscaldatori dentro l'I, e gli apparecchi da controllare dal controllati
temporizzatore (per esempio l' illuminazione) in II. Connettete la spina elettrica del
termostato correttamente con una presa di corrente. Potete ora fare le regolazioni
desiderate quanto alle seguenti istruzioni.
Regolazione della temperatura e dell'allarme:
Premete il tasto di temperatura per visualizzare le regolazioni dell'allarme e della
temperatura. Per cambiare la temperatura premi il tasto TEMP per 3 secondi fino a
che il display non cominci a lampeggiare. Con i tasti della freccia potete ora scegliere
la temperatura desiderata fra 0° e 50° C. Premendo di nuovo il tasto TEMP si pro-
cede alle regolazioni dell'allarme. Potete ora scegliere una divergenza di tempera-
tura fra 1° a 5°C a cui il termostato allarmerà lampeggiando e tramite un segnale
acustico che la temperatura è troppo bassa o troppo alta. Per esempio se regolate
la temperatura a 25° C e come regolazione dell'allarme il 4, l'allarme scatta se le
temperature misurate sono o inferiore a 21°C o superiore a 29° C.
Per conservare le regolazioni premi la temperatura per 5 secondi. Se non fate nien-
te per 30 secondi, il dispositivo annullerà il processo di regolazione senza salvare
niente e mostrerà la temperatura corrente.
Regolazione del temporizzatore:
Il temporizzatore è indipendente dall'ora reale, si può regolare l'orario
dell'attivazione e disattivazione del apparecchio. Per visualizzare le regolazioni
premi i tasti della freccia: Freccia in su = ACCESO, freccia giù = SPENTO (tutto conta-
to in ore). Per cambiare le regolazioni bisogna premere il tasto TIME per 3 secondi.
Utilizzate i tasti della freccia per regolare l'orario dell'attivazione e dopo aver pres-
so di nuovo brevemente il tasto TIME si può regolare l'orario della disattivazione.
Potete regolare un valore fra 0 e 24. Per conservare le regolazioni bisogna premere
il tasto TIME per 5 secondi. Premendo brevemente il tasto TIME si attiva o disattiva
il temporizzatore. Da quel momento in poi il temporizzatore ricomincia a contare
da capo. Bisogna far attenzione a non attivare e disattivare inutilmente il tempo-
rizzatore con il tasto TIME, poiché cosi si possono spostare gli orari d'attivazione
e disattivazione!
Esempio: Desiderate attivare un apparecchio dalle 8 di mattina alle 10 di sera? Per
realizzare ciò, mettete l'orario d'attivazione a 14 ore e l'orario di disattivazione a
10 ore. Fate una tale regolazioni alle 8 di mattina, cioè accendete il temporizzatore
a quella ora, premendo il tasto TIME.
Come spegnere il suono dell'allarme:
Il suono dell'allarme può essere spento premendo qualsiasi tasto. Se, dopo un po'di
tempo, la divergenza di temperatura è di nuova troppo alta, l'allarme risuonerà.
Una disattivazione definitiva è possibile premendo, contemporaneamente entrambi
i tasti della freccia per accendere il segnale acustico. Nel display appare B_o per
l'attivazione dell'allarme e B_c per la disattivazione.

Il Termostato regola il riscaldamento fino al raggiungimento della temperatura im-
postata e poi si spegne. Si accenderà di nuovo non appena la temperatura impostata
scenderà di oltre 1° C.
Informazioni importanti:
• Se la gamma di temperatura (0°-50° C) è oltrepassata, apparirà sul display HHH,
se, invece, è insufficiente apparirà LLL e un allarme suonerà.
• L'apparecchio memorizza le regolazioni nel caso di perdita d'alimentazione elet-
trica per circa 48 ore.
• Non modificate né aprite l'apparecchio!
• Verificare periodicamente l'integrità dei cavi dell'apparecchio e dei sensori.
Nel caso si riscontrassero danneggiamenti, bisognerà immediatamente togliere
l'apparecchio dall'uso. Lo stesso vale nel caso l'apparecchio sia entrato in contatto
con liquidi. Il controllo e l'eventuale riparazione dell'apparecchio dovranno essere
effettuati solo da personale qualificato!
• Prima dell'utilizzo di un apparecchio, verificare che sia effettivamente adatto ed
indicato per l'uso che se ne intende fare!
• In caso di dubbio, chiedere chiarimenti a personale qualificato, esperti del settore
o al produttore dell'apparecchio!
• Per evitare perdite accidentali di animali, è necessario controllare periodicamente
la temperature. Non sono accettati reclami per danni eventualmente causati dal
regolatore.
• Non usate né delle lampadine né delle lampade incandescenti insieme con un
termostato. Poiché il termostato spesso accende e spegne le lampade, la loro
durata è ridotta significativamente, e, inoltre, gli animali sono disturbati nel loro
comportamento naturale.
Garanzia
La garanzia decade in caso di modifiche, manomissioni, danneggiamenti, tentativi di
riparazione o utilizzo non corretto dell'apparecchio.
Questo apparecchio è garantito per due anno. La scelta di riparare, migliorare, o
sostituire l'apparecchio con uno nuovo compete esclusivamente al produttore.

With the Thermo Control II you have purchased a digital thermostat of
GB
the newest generation which can control all common vivarium heaters
with a maximum load of 1200W. An alarm function warns optically and acoustically
if the device measures a temperature that is either higher or lower than the set
temperature. In addition the thermostat has a timer which allows you to time control
additional devices like lighting or ventilators. The continuous temperature display
and the small size of the thermostat allows it use as additional thermometer.
Operating conditions
• The device may only be operated at 230V / 50/60Hz AC Voltage
• The device may be operated in any position, but it has to be ensured that it is
impossible for it to fall into water.
• The ambient temperature limit during operation may not fall below and exceed
0°C and 40°C respectively.
• The device is designed for use in dry and clean rooms.
• At formation of condensed water a period of acclimatisation of up to 2h has to
be ensured.
• Protect the device from moisture, spray water and impact of heat!
Designated Usage
This device may be operated with heat/cooling systems for regulation of air or wa-
ter temperature in unpressurised containers (e. g. aquaria, terrariums) or rooms.
Other forms of operation as mentioned above are not allowed!
Installation:
Install the temperature sensor at a suitable place inside the terrarium/aquarium.
Since you should have temperature gradients in your terrarium, you have to think
about which temperature area you want to control with the thermostat. In most
cases placing the sensor in the middle back of the terrarium just above the sub-
strate is recommended. For aquariums use a place where you have a good water
flow around the sensor.
Position the thermostat in way you can easily control the displayed temperature all
the time. Plug in the devices you want to have controlled into the receptacles of the
thermostats. Heaters in I and timer controlled devices (e.g. lighting) in II. Connect
the AC Adaptor to properly installed socket. You can now do the desired settings as
to the following instructions.
Setting the Temperature and Alarm Values
Press the TEMP button to display the temperature and alarm settings. To change the
set temperature press TEMP for 3 seconds until the display starts flashing. With the
arrow buttons you can now choose the desired temperature between 0° and 50° C.
Press TEMP another time to switch to the alarm settings. You can now choose a tem-
perature divergence between 1° to 5°C at which the thermostat will alarm through a
blinking display and a sound that the temperature is too low or too high. E.g. if you
set the temperature at 25°C and the alarm settings at 4, the alarm will start if the
measured temperatures are either lower than 21°C or higher than 29°C.
To save the settings press TEMP for 5 seconds. If you take no action for 30 seconds
the device will cancel the setting process without saving and show the current tem-
perature.
Setting the Timer:
The timer is independent from the actual hour, you can set how long the device
should be on and off in hours. To display the settings press the arrow buttons: Arrow
Up = ON time in hours, Arrow Down = OFF time in hours. For changing the settings
press TIME for 3 seconds. Use the arrow buttons to set the ON time and after pres-
sing the TIME button again the OFF time. You can set a value between 0 and 24.
To save the settings press TIME for 5 seconds. Press TIME to switch the device on
and off. From this action the set ON/OFF time will start counting. Note that you can
accidentally shift the On/Off cycle to another daytime by pressing TIME.
Example: You want to use a device from 8 o'clock in the morning till 10 o'clock in the
evening. To achieve this set the ON value to 14 hours and the OFF value to 10 hours.
Either you do the settings at 8 o'clock in the morning or you switch the timer to ON
by pressing TIME at 8 o'clock:

Disabling the Alarm Sound:
The alarm sound can be turned off by pressing any button. If the temperature di-
vergence is too high again after some time, the alarm will sound again. To turn it off
continuously press both arrow buttons at the same time. The display will B_o if the
alarm sound is on and B_c if the sound is off.

Mode of Operation:
The thermostat turns the heating on until the set temperature is reached and then
turns it off. It will turn on again if the measured temperature is 1°C below the set
temperature.
Important Information:
• If the temperature range (0°-50° C) is exceeded the display will show HHH for a
higher and LLL for a lower temperature and an alarm will sound.
• The device saves settings in case of power loss for about 48 hours.
• Do not undertake any modification and do not open the case.
• Device and sensor cords have to be checked always for signs of damage. If a
defect is discovered the device has to be put out of operation immediately. The
same applies if the device has come into contact with fluids.
• Generally it should be verified if the device is applicable for the application at
hand before putting it into operation!
• In case of doubt consultation of experts or the manufacturer of the employed
devices is required.
• In order to avoid animal losses regular checks of the temperature are required.
Claims for losses due to malfunction of the controller cannot be accepted.
• Do not use light bulbs (incandescent spot lamps) with a thermostat. Since the ther-
mostat often turns the lamps on and off, their live time is significantly reduced
and it causes a lot of stress for the animals.
Warranty
The warranty expires in case of modification and repair attempts as well as dama-
ging by force or inappropriate usage.
A manufacturer warranty of 2 years is granted on this device. Repair, amendments
or exchange for a replacement are at the manufacturer's discretion.
Neither a guarantee nor any liabilities for detriments or consequential damages in
relation with this product will be assumed.
