If a mistake in the power level or time settings
is noticed
before
cooking
has
started,
the
values can be reset. If the mistake is noticed
after cooking has started, press the
[O]
pad
and
reset
both
the
power
level
and
time.
Should the food be removed from the oven
before the end of the set cooking time, push
the
pad before cooking further items.
The auto-defrost
function is designed to de-
frost by automatically utilize three different
power
levels.
It begins defrosting
on a me-
dium
high
power
level
to quickly
activate
defrosting.
The
middle
portion
defrosts on
a medium-low
power
level. The last portion
of the AUTO-DEFROST
is on a low power
level
to
ensure
equalization
of defrosting
action throughout the food. Once the oven is
started, it will gradually defrost the food and
power
level will automatically
reduce during
the
defrosting
time.
This
will eliminate
or
reduce the normal required standing time.
The oven can be set as following. It is possible
to set a cooking
programme
to follow
the
Auto Defrost.

NOTE
{In continuous cooking, if AUTO
DEF pro-
gramme
is set
after
cook
programme.
AUTO
DEF will always start before cook.
IMPORTANT
The followings are some basic rules when you
use this oven;
DO NOT operate the oven when empty.
DO NOT
place any object between the door
and the oven front face. That is the sealing of
Microwaves.
DO NOT operate the oven if the door seal or
screen is damaged, or the door does not close
properly.
Liquids must be briskly stirred or poured (to
mix
in air) before being heated
in a micro-
wave
oven.
If air is not mixed into a liquid,
the
liquid
can
erupt
in the oven
or after
removal from the oven.
PROPER
UTENSILS
FOR
MICROWAVES
Glass or Ceramic are the most suitable. Plastic
or Paper can be used for a short time cooking
only
unless
it is designed
for use in micro-
wave ovens.

DO NOT use metal containers or utensils with
metal trim, as these may be destroyed.
Note: DO
NOT cook food ina
bottle or seal-
ed container unless the cap or seal is removed.
CLEANING
AND
MAINTENANCE
There is never a problem in cleaning the oven.
Most of time you can just wipe the oven walls
and the door seal with a soft damp cloth and
mild detergent. [f food particles have dried-on,
let a cup of water boil for about 3 minutes in
the oven.
The steam will soften the dried-on
food particles.
DO
NOT
use
an
abrasive
powder
or
pad.
The
revolving
tray
can
be
removed
and
washed in the dishwasher.
Cleaning
must be carried out with the oven
switched off.

service,
contact
the
nearest
TOSHIBA
Authorized Service Agent.
Note:
Before
you
call
for
service,
please
check
the
followings
to avoid
unnecessary
calls for which you will be charged:
e Check it is correctly plugged in.
e Check
the
operating
instruction
in this
book.
Service must be done by an authorized service
personnel. DO NOT remove the cover. To do
so would void the warranty.
WARNING
(a) DO NOT allow anyone to service the oven
other
than
an
Authorized
TOSHIBA
Service
Agent.
To
do
so
will void
the
warranty. It is dangerous for anyone other
than
a_
service
technician
trained
by
TOSHIBA to perform a repair service.
(b) DO
NOT,
under
any
circumstances,
remove
the outer cover, door or control
panel. This too will void the warranty.
(c) DO
NOT
place any
object
between
the
front face of the oven and the door.
(d) DO NOT operate the oven if the door seal
is damaged
or the door does not close
properly. Inspect these areas for damage.
If there is any damage the oven must not
be operated until it has been repaired by
a service technician trained by TOSHIBA.
{(e) DO NOT
operate the oven when empty,
as this may damage the oven.
