Consider the following when selecting an installation location for the product.
Install the product in a suitable outdoor location. Choose a spot where the solar panel can

receive 8 – 10 hours of sunlight daily (Fig. 1).
Do not install the product in shady areas. Shady areas will not allow the battery to fully

charge, which will reduce the lighting hours at night.
Do not install the product near night light sources, such as porch lights or streetlights. Night

light sources can prevent the product from detecting when it is night-time and therefore
from turning on automatically.
The motion detection angle of the PIR sensor is 100° (horizontal).

The maximum motion detection range of the PIR sensor is 5 – 8 metres.

7.2 Wall mounting
WARNING! When penetrating the surface (example: drilling or inserting
fasteners), make sure no cables or pipes are damaged. Inadvertently penetrating
electric cables causes the life-threatening danger of an electric shock! Check for
concealed wires and pipes before drilling or inserting fasteners.
1. Remove the wall-mounting bracket from the back of the main unit by sliding it down (Fig. 2).
2. Mark the mounting location and drill holes.
3. Secure the bracket to the wall with 2 screws and 2 dowels provided.
4. Slide the main unit onto the bracket until it is secured in place (Fig. 3, 4).
8 Operation
The solar panel charges the rechargeable battery during daytime if there is sufficient sunlight.
The integrated light sensor will automatically turn the LED spot light on at dusk and off at dawn.
Note:
– If the switch ON/OFF is in the position OFF, the rechargeable battery will not be
charged.
First time use
1
Charge the rechargeable battery for at least 8 – 10 hours on sunny days, or at least 2 days on
cloudy days before you use the product regularly.
1. During day light, switch the product on by pushing the switch ON/OFF to the position ON.
The solar panel charges the rechargeable battery.
Æ
2. At night, switch the product off by pushing the switch ON/OFF to the position OFF to
prevent the rechargeable battery from discharging.
Regular use
2
1. Push the switch ON/OFF to the position ON to switch the product on.
The PIR sensor will automatically turn the light on at night and off during the day.
Æ
If the light is on at night, the default brightness of the light is Low. The sensor will switch
Æ
the light to High when it detects motion and automatically dim the light to Low after 30
seconds of inactivity.
2. (If needed) Push the switch ON/OFF to the position OFF to switch the product off.
9 Cleaning and care
Important:
– Do not use harsh cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They
damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
– Do not expose the product to strong jets of water (e.g. high-pressure cleaning devices).
1. Push the switch ON/OFF to the position OFF to switch the product off.
2. Allow the product to cool down.
3. Clean the main unit and solar panel with a soft moist cloth. Clean the product regularly.
Dust and dirt covering the solar panel reduce charging efficiency.
4. If the product will be stored for some time, turn the product off before storing. Rechargeable
batteries can be damaged if left discharged for some time. It is recommended to recharge
the battery of the product regularly to prevent the battery from being completely discharged.
10 Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the
EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as
unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose
of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators,
which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from
the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the
WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back
of waste. Conrad provides the following return options free of charge (more details on our
website):
in our Conrad offices

at the Conrad collection points

at the collection points of public waste management authorities or the collection points set

up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
It should be noted that different obligations about the return or recycling of WEEE may apply in
countries outside of Germany.
