INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRODUCT'S PRESENTATION
This tool has been designed to perform wood cutting tasks. The
saw of blade of 165mm in diameter and 24 teeth makes it ideal
for carry out straight longitudinal and transverse cuts in wood
panels and panels, as well as angle cuts of up to 45º. The cutting
depth, like the angle, is also adjustable by means of the ad-
justment or locking knob, which guarantees a maximum cutting
depth of cut of 36 mm and 55 mm when the cutting angle is set
to 45º and 0º (90º) respectively. This circular saw also features
a front handle for an improved grip while in use, a trigger lock-
off button to prevent an accidental starting of the tool, and an
aluminum guard. Moreover, apart from the blade, it includes a
parallel guide and an Allen key for a proper insertion removal
and of the blade.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions listed below may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• Check for breakage of parts, damage to switches and any
other conditions that may affect its operation.
• Before connecting accessories to the tool, disconnect bat-
tery pack or place the switch in the locked position.
• Keep the tool and its handle dry, clean and free from oil
and grease.
• Always wear eye and respiratory protection.
• Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is in the locked or
off position before inserting battery pack.
Warning: Keep hands away from the cutting area and blade.
NEVER place your hands behind the saw blade since kic-
kback could cause the saw to jump backwards over your
hand. Keep your body positioned to either side of the saw
blade.
1. Check the lower guard for proper closing before each use.
2. If the saw is accidentally dropped, the lower guard may be
bent. Raise the lower guard with the lower guard lever and
make sure it can move freely and does not touch the blade.
Note: Do not operate the saw if the lower guard does not
move and close freely.
3. Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece.
Less than a full tooth of the blade teeth should be visible
below the workpiece.
4. Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across your
leg. It is very important to secure the workpiece to a stable
platform.
5. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing
an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wi-
ring or its own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will make ex-
posed metal parts of the tool "live" and shock the operator.
6. Keep your second hand on the front handle, not close to
the blade. Do not attempt to remove the cutting material
when the blade is still moving.
7. If the blade is bent, please release the trigger immedia-
tely and hold the saw firmly in the material until the blade
comes to a complete stop. NEVER attempt to remove the
saw from the work or pull the saw backward while the bla-
de is in motion. Kickback might happen.
8. Use a rip fence when ripping.
9. Avoid cutting nails. Inspect the material that is being cut to
see if there are nails in it and remove before cutting.
10. Do not run the saw while carrying it at your side.
11. Make sure the depth and angle locking levers are tight and
secure before making a cut.
12. Do not use damaged or dull blades. Using dull blades may
cause kickback.
KICKBACK WARNING
1. Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or mi-
saligned saw blade, causing an uncontrolled saw to lift up
and out of the workpiece toward the operator.
2. If the blade is twisted or misaligned in the cut, the teeth
at the back edge of the blade can dig into the top surfa-
ce of the wood, which may cause the blade to jump back
towards the operator.
3. Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the saw and posi-
tion your arms to resist kickback forces.
4. Before cutting, inspect the workpiece for knows or nails.
Never cut a knot or a nail.
5. When cutting large panels, to avoid kickback, support must
be placed under the panel on both sides, near the line of
cut and near the edge of the panel.
6. After a kickback, when restarting a saw in the workpiece,
center the saw blade in the kerf and check that saw teeth
are not engaged into the wood.
ASSEMBLY
Changing the Blade
1. Place the saw on a side of a flat surface.
2. Depress the spindle lock button.
3. Loosen the blade clamping screw using the hex key pro-
vided.
4. Remove the blade clamping screw, outer flange, and was-
her.
5. Lift the lower guard by using the lower guard lever and
remove the blade.
6. Clean the saw blade flanges, and then mount the new saw
blade onto the spindle. Make sure the saw teeth and arrow
on the blade is to the same direction as the arrow on the
lower guard.
7. Reinstall the outer flange, washer and tighten the blade
clamp screw. Make sure the saw blade can run freely by
turning the blade by hand.
