YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS IS VERY IMPORTANT
This manual and the appliance itself contain important safety information that must be read and
followed at all times.
This is the warning / caution safety symbol relating to safety, warning of potential risks to users and
others.
All safety-related messages indicate the potential risk to which they refer and how to reduce the risk of injury,
damage and electric shock due to improper use of the appliance. Ensure that the following is observed:
•
The appliance must be disconnected from the power supply before installation.
•
Installation and maintenance must be carried out by a specialised technician in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and applicable local safety regulations.
•
Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically stated in the instruction manual.
•
The unit must be earthed.
•
The mains cable must be long enough to connect the appliance installed in the cabinet to the
power supply.
•
For installation according to current safety regulations, an omnipolar switch with a minimum contact
spacing of 3 mm is required.
•
Do not use multiple sockets or extension cables.
•
Do not pull on the mains cable of the appliance.
•
The electrical parts must not be accessible to the user after installation.
•
The appliance is intended exclusively for domestic use for cooking food. No other use is permitted (e.g.
heating rooms). The distributor declines all liability for improper use or incorrect setting of the controls.
•
Warning: The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. Take care not to touch the
heating elements. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance unless they are supervised
at all times.
•
The accessible parts can become very hot during use. Children must be kept away from the appliance
and supervised to ensure that they do not play with it.
•
Do not touch the heating elements of the appliance during and after use. Do not allow the appliance to
come into contact with cloths or other flammable materials until all components have cooled down
sufficiently.
•
Do not place flammable materials on or near the appliance.
•
Overheated oils and fats ignite easily. When cooking foods rich in fat and oil, pay attention to the
following.
•
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried
out by children without supervision.
•
An air switch or circuit breaker (not supplied) should be installed in the compartment under the
unit.
•
If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid electric shock.
•
The appliance must not be operated with an external timer or a separate remote control. Warning:
Unsupervised cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and lead to a fire. Never try to extinguish
a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover the flame, e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.
