- PRECAUTIONS
Follow the advise below, for safe and correct
operation.
On AC voltage
Before use, check that the rated voltage of your
unit matches your local voltage.

On safety
e When connecting and disconnecting the AC
cord, grip the plug and not the cord itself. Pulling
the cord may damage it and thus be hazardous.
* When you are not going to use the unit for a long
time, disconnect the AC cord.
¢ If the AC cord is broken or damaged, or if the
wires are exposed, contact your dealer or an
AIWA service station and have it replaced or
repaired immediately.
On placement
* Do not use the unit in places that are extremely
hot, cold, dusty or humid.
¢ Place the unit on a flat, level surface.
To clean the cabinet
Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with mild deter-
gent solution. Do not use strong solvents, such as
alcohol, benzine or thinner.
Should any trouble occur, disconnect the AC cord
and refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
DEMO (demonstration) mode
When the unit is turned on
The demonstration program runs once automati-
cally. You can see the contents of the factory-
preset curves in the demonstration.
To cancel the demonstration
Press DEMO during the demonstration.
To turn on the unit without displaying the
demonstration
Press DEMO for longer than 2 seconds while the
power is turned on, then press POWER to turn off
the unit. When POWER is pressed again, the unit
turns on without the DEMO mode.
To begin the demonstration
Press DEMO.
Note'
:
If you press DEMO shortly to cancel the demon-
stration, the DEMO mode is entered again when
the unit is turned on after the power is cut off by a
power failure, orthe AC power cordis disconnected.

Uberpriifen Sie vor der ersten Verwendung, daB
die drtliche Netzspannung mit der des Gerates
ibereinstimmt.

Zur Sicherheit
¢ ZumAnschlieBen und Abtrennen des Netzkabels
fassen Sie stets am Stecker und niemals am
Kabel selbst an. Das Ziehen am Kabel kann zu
Beschadigungen flhren.
¢ Wenn das System langere Zeit nicht verwendet
wird, trennen Sie das Netzkabel ab. Das System
ist auch in ausgeschaltetem
Zustand
nicht
vollstandig vom Stromnetz getrennt und es flieBt
eine geringe Menge Strom, sofern das Netzkabel
noch an einer Wandsteckdose angeschlossen
ist.
¢ BeieinemNetzkabelbruch und bei beschadigter
Isolierung des Netzkabels wenden
Sie sich
zwecks Reparatur an Ihren Handler oder Ihre
AIWA-Kundendienststelle.
Zur Aufstellung
;
¢ Betreiben Sie das System nicht an heiBen, sehr
kalten, staubigen oder feuchten Platzen.
* Stellen Sie das Gerat auf einer ebenen Unterlage
auf.
Reinigung des Gehauses
Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung des Gehauses ein
weiches, leicht mit mildem Haushaltsreiniger
angefeuchtetes Tuch. Starke Lésungsmittel wie
Alkohol, Benzin oder Verdiinner dirfen nicht
verwendet werden.
Wenn das System nicht einwandfrei funktioniert,
trennen Sie das Netzkabel ab und wenden Sie sich
an einen Fachmann.
Die DEMO-Betriebsart
(Demon-
stration)
Bei eingeschaltetem Gerat
Das Demonstrations-Programm lauft automatisch,
Die Inhalte der ab Werk eingestellten Kurven
werden zur Demonstration angezeigt.
Zum Léschen der DEMO-Betriebsart
Driicken Sie die DEMO-Taste wahrend der Dem-
onstration.
Zum Einschalten des Gerates ohne die Anzeige
des Demonstrations-Programms
Driicken Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerat die DEMO-
Taste langer als zwei Sekunden, dann driicken Sie
die POWER-Taste zum Ausschalten des Gerates.
Wenn die POWER-Taste wieder gedriickt wird,
startet das Gerat ohne die DEMO-Betriebsart.
Zum Starten des Demonstrations-Programms
Driicken Sie die DEMO-Taste.
Hinweis
Wenn die DEMO-Taste kurz zum Beenden der
Demonstration gedriickt wurde, wird die DEMO-
Funktion beim Einschalten des Gerates nach einem
Stromausfall oder wenn das Netzkabel abgetrennt
war, wieder aktiviert.
