Safety instructions
To prevent malfunctions, damage and adverse health effects, please follow the
instructions below:
Prior to each use, check the condition of the socket for apparent signs of wear.

Only connect the socket to a suitable power source.
•
Only rarely will there be a positive and negative terminal in the desired installation
•
position. Check the routing of the cables prior to installation.
Ensure that there are no other cables in the way when drilling the hole.

Note the polarity of the individual cables (+/-). If you are unsure of a cable's
•
polarity, use a voltmeter to check.
This USB socket converts the on-board voltage from 12 V to 5 V. The transformer
•
installed for this purpose does not require much power, but the power supply will
be constant. Hence an additional switch should be installed to interrupt the power
supply.
It is advisable to carry a suitable jump starter to prevent possible flat batteries.

Installation
It is advisable to look up the cable routing of the vehicle beforehand.
1.
Find a suitable location for the USB socket.
2.
If you cannot find a suitable power source to tap, cables must be routed from the
vehicle battery or fuse box to the installation location.
3.
Drill a hole with a diameter of at least 29 mm into the desired position.
4.
Unscrew the socket's retaining washers.
5.
Now push the socket through the hole and secure it with the retaining washer and
the cover.
6.
Now connect the cables to the socket's plus or minus terminal (as the case may
be) using the supplied cable sleeves and crimp them firmly.
7.
The socket's blue light should now be illuminated.
