To Play Tape
1 Turn on power switch
2 Eject Button (A)
To stop playing, push this button. The cassette will pop
out for removal, and the radio will be heard again.
If the cassette is not manually ejected, ''Auto-Reverse"'
will operate and playback continues on the other side
of the tape.
The cassette should always be removed from the cas-
sette slot when not in use.
5 Tape Program Indicator
The tape program indicator (4 or W) appears on the
display panel during tape playback.
4 : Indicates the top side of the cassette is
being played.
Vv : Indicates the bottom side of the cassette
is being played.
NOTE: However, when the "BK/DK" button is swit-
ched on, before or after the tape is inserted, the
"VF" frequency appears on the display panel.
Push to rewind
3 Cassette Slot
Insert cassette with exposed tape side facing to the
right. Push inward until the mechanism captures
the cassette. Playback starts automatically when
the cassette tape is inserted.

4 Fast Forward/Rewind Buttons
(<< pp)
if any of these buttons (fast forward or rewind) is
pushed, the tape program indicator 0-0 or o-o
will blink on the display panel.
To stop fast forward or rewind, simply release
the "'locked'' button by pushing the other button
half-way.
6 Tape Program Selector (PRG)
Depress both buttons (4< PP) fully to
select the desired program of tape play as indi-
cated by the tape program indicator.
Otherwise, tape program indicator changes au-
tomatically when the tape reaches its end (Auto-
Reverse System).
