The kettle switches off automatically when the water boils. The LED lighting switches off. If you want to boil the
water once more, wait approx. 30 seconds before switching it on again to allow the switch to cool down. It is
also possible to switch off the kettle at any time by means of the on/off switch. When the kettle is taken off the
connection base while boiling, it will also switch off. When placing back the kettle on the connection base, wait
approx. 30 seconds before switching it on again to allow the switch to cool down.
Caution! It is possible that a little condensed water remains on the edge of the connection base. This is normal and
does not affect the function of the kettle.
Scale may occur on the inside of the kettle. If you have hard water, it may be necessary to de-scale the kettle
occasionally. Use a suitable de-scaling agent for kettles/coffee machines and observe the accompanying instructions.
The anti-scale filter cannot be removed from the lid.
You can also de-scale the kettle with lemon juice. The lemon acid in this juice will make sure that the scale is removed.
This natural method prevents the use of chemicals. Fill half the kettle with hot water. Add the juice of half a lemon.
Boil the water and then allow the water to cool down for 30 minutes. Throw away the boiled water and rinse the kettle
once more. Never clean the appliance with cleaning agents. These could damage your kettle.
Regularly clean the kettle for optimum performance. Never submerge the kettle and connection base in water
and/or other liquids. Before cleaning, always remove the plug from the socket and allow the kettle to cool down.
Regularly wipe the outside with a moist cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive cleaning agents!
