Starting up

Removing iso-strips

The battery is already inserted upon delivery and fitted with an iso-strip to prevent it
from discharging ahead of time. In order to start up the scale, you must remove the iso-
strip. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Slide the battery compartment cover slightly out of the scale.
2. Pull out the iso-strip.
3. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place.

Inserting/changing the battery

For use, you need a 3 V CR2032 battery.
1. Slide open the battery compartment cover upwards.
2. Remove the old battery.
3. Slide the battery against the contact springs under the large, square retaining
tabs and then press it downwards. The battery will then snap under the opposite
retaining lugs so that it sits firmly in its holder.
Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-). The plus pole (+) must point upwards.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover fully open again.
Suggestions for changing the battery:
‚ The battery needs to be changed when "Lo" or nothing is shown on
the display.
‚ Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical data".
‚ Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally appropriate way
(see "Disposal").
