A:
ON (2)
B: ON (.o)......... The sound can be heard through
the speakers which are connect-
ed to both A and B speaker ter-
minals.
NOTE:
@ When 8 ohms speakers are connected to both A
and B speaker terminals, and the Speakers switch
@ is set at A on, B on, the combined impedance of
the speakers is only 4 ohms.
Avoid using this ar-
rangement.
Be sure to connect speakers of more
than 16 ohms when two sets of speakers are to be
operated simultaneously.
@ Even when the Speaker switch is set to ON ( «= )
with the protection circuit activated, sound cannot
be heard.
@ Bass control
Turning this control to the right from "O" position
increases the bass and conversely, turning it to the
left decreases the bass.
@® Treble control
Turning this control to the right from "O" position
increases the treble and conversely, turning it to
the left decreases the treble.
© Tone switch
Set this switch to ON ( =
) when

and treble.
When the switch is set to DEFEAT ( I ), a flat fre-

of the
bass and treble adjustment.
@ Balance control

Loudness switch
Due to the characteristics of human
hearing, the
bass and treble seem to drop off when the sound
volume is decreased.
In order to compensate for
this, push this switch to ON ( «= ), and the bass
and treble will then be emphasized
by +6 dB at
100 Hz and +3 dB at 10 kHz respectively.
@ Subsonic-filter switch
When this switch is set to the 30 Hz ( «= ) posi-
tion, low frequency
noise which
is generated
by
warps in the discs is cut out. It is wise to keep this
switch at the 30 Hz ( «= ) position since it is effec-
tive in cutting out low frequency noise outside the
range of hearing which can adversely affect the
speakers (-6 dB/oct).
@ Mode switch
Set this switch to MONO
( .
) when
playing a
monophonic disc or listening to an FM program in
monophonic.
