Vacuum Connection
The vSystem chain oiler is activated using the engine vacuum. All bikes, either carburettor or fuel
injected use engine vacuum and can be fitted to. The vacuum connection options are:
f
An existing vacuum take off, that is either blanked off with a rubber plug or a blanking screw
that can be replaced with a vacuum spigot.
f
An existing vacuum line, such as a balancing pipe or a vacuum operated fuel tap.
f
An Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) system. All Euro4 compliant motorcycles use an EVAP system
that operates using the engine vacuum. It is important to connect into the vacuum line between
the engine and the purge valve.

connect the vSystem to the specific vacuum connection on your motorcycle.
Initial Setup
Once the vSystem is installed on your motorcycle the vSystem needs to be initially setup:

Pull out the rubber filler plug and fill the reservoir using the Scottoil bottle and filling tube.

Pull out the breathing connection from the rubber filler plug and connect the filling tube.

Turn the flowrate adjuster on the top of the reservoir all the way to the PRIME setting.
f
Hold the Scottoil bottle upright and pressurise the bottle until oil reaches the sprocket.

Reconnect the breathing connection, remove the filler plug and refill the reservoir until full.
The vSystem only needs to be primed in the initial setup or if the delivery tubing has run dry.

Start the engine and observe the dispenser. Adjust the floware to 1 drop per minute.
The vSystem is temperature dependent. Regular adjustments to the flowrate are necessary.

For best results clean your chain after fitting the Scottoiler vSystem. Then lightly apply some
L
Scottoil from the bottle to the chain using a rag or brush. Your vSystem will maintain this film of
oil on the chain.

The CARB product information label must be installed on or near the
vSystem after installation.
