Any serious incident or malfunction that has occurred in relation to the Ugo Fix Bag Belt should
be reported to the manufacturer and the Competent Authority of the Member State in which the
user and/or patient is established.
HOW TO USE
Consult your Healthcare Professional for advice before using the Ugo Fix Bag Belt.
Always wash and dry your hands before and after handling your catheter or drainage tubing and
Ugo Fix Bag Belt. If someone else is handling your catheter or drainage tubing and bag belt,
they must wash and dry their hands and apply a clean pair of gloves on every occasion to avoid
cross infection.
We recommend that you change your Ugo Fix Bag Belt daily along with your catheter hygiene
regime. Only change it sooner if it is damaged or soiled.
The Ugo Fix Bag Belt is not waterproof; however you can still bathe and shower when wearing
it to support your leg bag. Replace the wet Ugo Fix Bag Belt with a clean dry one afterwards.
Identify the best place to wear the Ugo Fix Bag Belt
The Ugo Fix Bag Belt can be worn to support your urinary leg bag on your thigh, upper knee or
lower leg. The position you wear your bag belt and urinary leg bag will depend on whether you
have a urethral or suprapubic catheter, the length of your catheter and leg bag tubing, your leg
bag volume and your level of mobility.
Measuring and adjusting the Ugo Fix Bag Belt to the correct length
1. Using a tape measure, measure around your leg at the position you intend to wear your
Ugo Fix Bag Belt.
2. Then using the tape measure, measure the length of the Ugo Fix Bag Belt, add at least
5cm for hook and loop overlap and cut to length.
Warning! - Do not cut the Ugo Fix Bag Belt whilst it is being worn and stretched.
How to apply your Ugo Fix Bag Belt
Fitting options:
You may choose to attach your leg bag to the Ugo Fix Bag Belt first and then to your leg
afterwards (Method A) or you may find it easier to fit the Ugo Fix Bag Belt to your leg first and
then attach your leg bag afterwards (Method B).
Method A:
Feed the grey hook and loop tabs through the four eyelet holes at the top of your urinary leg
bag and secure.
Place the Ugo Fix Bag Belt around the leg in the desired position with the silicone line facing
down on the skin and fix in place with hook and loop.
Method B:
Place the Ugo Fix Bag Belt around the leg in the desired position with the silicone line facing
down on the skin and fix in place with hook and loop.
Feed the grey hook and loop tabs through the four eyelet holes at the top of your urinary leg
bag and secure.
Warning! - Make sure your catheter or drainage tubing are not twisted before securing onto the
Ugo Fix Bag Belt.
Ensure the Ugo Fix Bag Belt is not too tight, your catheter is not pulling and that you are able
to move around comfortably with it in place.
